Post Hungarian PM want a ‘Referendum Tsunami’ across Europe on mandatory EU migrant quotas

Hungarian PM expects a ‘Referendum Tsunami’ across Europe on mandatory EU migrant quotas

HUNGARY’S hardline leader Viktor Orbán expects at least another three European countries, the Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia to follow him in his attempt to reject Brussel’s mandatory migrant quotas.

Hungarian PM Viktor Orbán expects at least another three European countries to join him

Mr Orban said: "If the Hungarian Referendum in October proves to be successful, that might lead to a tsunami of referendums across Europe and will crack the EU even more."

The Hungarian leading party Fidesz considers this referendum as a ‘matter of life and death as the future of Hungary is at stake.'

With the referendum, Mr Orbán says he intends to prove that the majority of Hungarian people are against the bureaucrats of Brussels and Hungarian citizens wish to keep the decision-making power in their own Government’s hands, instead of the EU.

The leader stated that in order to consider the referendum a triumph, at least four million people should vote - and clearly the majority should vote ‘no’ on the EU migrant quotas.

According to the latest surveys, there is a good chance that it will be the case even though the real, hard campaign against migrants and immigration is yet to be started in Hungary.

On October 2 the Hungarian people will be asked whether they want to accept any European Union quota system for resettling migrants.

The question will be: "Do you want the European Union to be entitled to prescribe the mandatory settlement of non-Hungarian citizens in Hungary without the consent of parliament?"

The Hungarian PM believes that if the referendum is a successful one, then it will start a domino effect in Europe.

Mr Orbán said: "I expect a lot of other European countries, especially the historical V4: the Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia to follow Hungary’s footsteps .

“Even if they won't hold an actual referendum, I believe they will at least attack the EU mandatory quotas on every forum."

Hungarian politicians have repeatedly stated the bureaucrats in Brussels do not understand and do not respect the needs and the will of people of Europe and the whole of the EU needs a major makeover.
