ICE Union: Americans Should ‘Brace Themselves’ For New Immigration Policy

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A union leader for employees of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement says Americans need to “brace themselvesâ€

This was a warning in June and now we know. Wouldn't you want to know what the ICE agents really think of what is going on? Wish I could be a fly on the wall while some of them are together.

Right now millions upon millions of criminals, drug dealers and gang members are pouring across our poorly guarded border with Mexico. Large numbers of welfare abusers and people with dangerous diseases are also coming across on a regular basis.

Illegal immigration costs our economy billions upon billions of dollars. Illegal immigrants pay next to nothing in taxes, but they have no problem receiving tens of billions of dollars worth of free education benefits, free health care benefits, free housing assistance and free food stamp benefits.

According to a review of U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics and Census Bureau data, legal and illegal immigrants gained over a million additional jobs between 2008 and 2010 even as millions of American citizens were losing their jobs during that same time period.

The cost of educating the children of illegal immigrants is staggering. It is estimated that U.S. taxpayers spend $12,000,000,000 a year on primary and secondary school education for the children of illegal immigrants.

So is it really unreasonable to ask the federal government to protect our borders, enforce our laws and require that all immigrants come in through the front door?

Well, that may seem like common sense to many of us, but unfortunately the Obama administration has chosen another direction.

So get ready for another huge wave of illegal immigrants.

After word of this new policy gets around, millions of them are going to be headed our way.
