Mulligan Security Corp., a New York City-based provider of security services in New York and New Jersey, has announced that it officially became a member of the “ICE Mutual Agreement between Government and Employers” (IMAGE) program of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) at a signing ceremony on October 1.

“In our continuing relationship with the Department of Homeland Security, we are honored that Mulligan Security has obtained the prestigious ICE IMAGE status,” said Kevin Mulligan, the company’s executive vice president. “We are proud to see our firm partnered with the Department of Homeland Security for this important program and we are extremely grateful to be selected as the first security firm in the United States to receive this designation. Mulligan is an innovative leader in the security industry and this recognition allows us to continue to revolutionize and expand our security services with a secure, stable and Department of Homeland Security approved workforce.”

“The Department of Homeland Security is pleased to welcome Mulligan Security as an IMAGE partner in the state of New York and applaud this company's commitment to ensuring the integrity of its workforce,” said James Hayes, Jr., special agent in charge, New York Field Office.

IMAGE is a DHS program that allows private sector businesses to partner with ICE to eliminate illegal employment and the use of fraudulent identity documents.

When an organization pursues IMAGE membership, the agency provides education and training on enhanced hiring procedures, including employment screening tools such as E-Verify and the Social Security Verification Services. The organization must also undergo an extensive audit of its I-9 forms to ensure all current employees are eligible to work in the United States.

In 2011, Mulligan Security was also recognized as the first security firm in the tri-state area to receive the Support Anti-Terrorism by Fostering Effective Technologies Act of 2002 (the SAFETY Act) designation from DHS for both security and fire & life safety services in the States of New York and New Jersey.
