March 18, 2014 – Secretary Johnson announces results of operation that dismantled underground child exploitation enterprise on Tor network
Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson, with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), U.S. Postal Inspection Service and the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Louisiana March 18 announced the complete results of one of the largest online child exploitation investigations in the history of ICE, involving victims in 39 states and five countries. March 20, 2014 – HSI Forensic Laboratory assists in exhibit preparation for "Securing the Homeland – ICE" at the Crime Museum

DEA Publishes Proposal to Reschedule Hydrocodone
FEB 24 (WASHINGTON)
Today the U. S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) published in the Federal Register a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) to move hydrocodone combination products (HCPs) from Schedule III to Schedule II, as recommended by the Assistant Secretary for Health of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and as supported by the DEA’s own evaluation of relevant data. This NPRM proposes to impose the regulatory controls and sanctions applicable to Schedule II substances on those who handle or propose to handle HCPs. The public is invited to review the proposed rule, which is posted on the DEA’swebsite.
