    Owner of offshore brokerage firm pleads guilty to $250 million money laundering scheme
    Greeg R. Mulholland, 46, used offshore shell companies in Belize and the West Indies to carry out numerous schemes, including the manipulation of Cynk technology Corp (CYNK). Pursuant to his plea agreement with the government, Mulholland has agreed to forfeit, among other things, a Dassault-Breguet Falcon 50 aircraft, a Range Rover Defender vehicle, two real estate properties in British Columbia, and funds and securities on deposit at more than a dozen bank and brokerage accounts.

    Fresno-area youth director sentenced to over 12 years in prison for enticement of a minor
    According to evidence presented at trial in February, Juan Martin Torres, 28, of Firebaugh, who served as the director of the Firebaugh Boys and Girls Club, sent a boy messages over Facebook offering to shortcut the boy’s community service requirement if he agreed to sexual acts with Torres. The boy reported the messages to law enforcement.

    Robert DeKelaita, 53, of Glenview, Illinois, was convicted on one count of conspiracy to commit asylum fraud, two counts of knowingly offering false statements in an asylum application, and one count of procuring perjury during asylum interviews.

    Montana man sentenced for theft from US Air Force base
    John Edmonston, 54, of Great Falls, a civilian, was sentenced to five years’ probation and ordered to pay restitution of $5,523.65 to Malmstrom Air Force Base. Edmonston and at least three other individuals (all enlisted in the U.S. Air Force) were part of a scheme to take equipment and tools from Malmstrom Air Force Base in Great Falls.

    Granville Robinson, 27, of Memphis, Tennessee, also faces a restitution hearing set for July to determine payment to his victims. Robinson pleaded guilty in February to one count of conspiring to commit sex trafficking and one count of sex trafficking.

    Shahid Hassan Muslim, AKA, Sharp, 33, of Charlotte, was also ordered to pay nearly $14,000 in restitution to two victims. On Aug. 11, 2014, a federal jury found Muslim guilty on all counts, including two counts of sex trafficking, one count of kidnapping, one count of production of child pornography, one count of witness tampering and five counts of promoting a prostitution business enterprise

    Fidel Mancinas-Franco, 51, of Nogales, Sonora, Mexico, and Jose Villela-Lopez, 53, of Cananea, Sonora, Mexico, were sentenced Wednesday to 96 and 120 months, respectively, by Chief U.S. District Judge Raner C. Collins.

    ICE detainee passes away at San Diego-area detention facility
    Igor Zyazin, 46, was pronounced dead by paramedics shortly after 10 p.m. while en route to the hospital. Zyazin is the sixth individual to pass away in ICE custody in fiscal year 2016. His is the first detainee death at the Otay Mesa Detention Center in two years.

    Los Angeles-area man receives decade-long prison term following 3rd child pornography conviction
    James Gregory O’Neill, 58, was sentenced Monday afternoon by U.S. District Judge R. Gary Klausner. O’Neill pleaded guilty in January to possessing child pornography on his mobile phone in the spring of 2015.

    Jose Leonardo Lemus Rajo, 23, was transferred from the Krome Detention Center to the hospital April 26, after experiencing alcohol withdrawal symptoms using the Clinical Institute Withdrawal Assessment for Alcohol monitoring scale.

    Southeast Texas 'Santa Claus' convicted of distributing child pornography
    Reynaldo Ramirez, 38, was arrested on a criminal complaint Dec. 24, 2015. The May 2 court heard that the case began when a CCPD detective was able to successfully download various files containing child pornography from an Internet Protocol address that was associated with Ramirez.

    Massachusetts sex offender sentenced for possession of child pornography
    Derrick Jones, 45, of Arlington, was sentenced in U.S. District Court to 15 years in prison followed by 10 years of supervised release, and will be required to register as a sex offender upon release from prison. In January 2016, Jones pleaded guilty to receipt of child pornography and possession of child pornography.

    Orange County man surrenders on charges of traveling to Canada to have sex with teen he persuaded to send nude videos
    Paul Binh Do, 29, surrendered to federal authorities Monday morning. He was charged last month with one count of traveling with the intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct and one count of receipt of child pornography.

    Salt Lake City ICE officers arrest twice-deported, twice-convicted criminal alien sex offender from Mexico
    Sergio Amador-Olive, 37, from Mexico, was arrested April 28 at his Salt Lake City residence. Amador-Olive had a warrant for his arrest for failing to register as a sex offender. As an illegal alien with multiple state and federal convictions, he is also an ICE priority for immigration enforcement.

    Edric Norvell Robinson Sr., 45, of Dallas, who remains in federal custody, faces a statutory penalty of not less than 10 years and up to life in federal prison and a $250,000 fine. Sentencing is set for Aug. 10 before U.S. District Judge Ed Kinkeade.
