Man scales razor wire fence, escapes Payette jail

PAYETTE -- The search is on for an escaped inmate from the Payette County Jail.

The Payetee County Sheriff's Office says shortly after 9 a.m. Tuesday, 20-year-old Vicente Machien-Mireles scaled the recreation yard fence, climbed over the razor wire and was last seen running west on 2nd Avenue North in Payette.

Machien-Mireles was in jail on three warrants, two for misdemeanor charges and one for grand theft and forgery, as well as an immigration hold.

The sheriff's office says he is in the United States illegally.

The inmate apparently cut himself while climbing over the razor wire.

He is about five feet, five inches tall, weighs 140 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes.

There is a pic at the link but it's so dark I can't make him out, can you?

Yeah, these guys have gotten pretty good at climbing fences. I hope his limbs get infected with gangrene and fall off.
