Thread: Illegal Alien Gang Member Pleads Guilty To Helping Kill 14-Year-Old Boy

Jose Rodriguez-Nunez, a 27-year-old illegal alien gang member who also went by “Killer,” just pled guilty in federal court to racketeering crimes and participating in the murder of a 14-year-old Maryland boy.

According to his plea agreement, beginning in 2010, Rodriguez-Nunez conspired with members and associates of MS-13 to engage in crimes to further the interests of the gang, including murder, assault, robbery, extortion by threat of violence, obstruction of justice, witness tampering and witness retaliation. Specifically, Rodriguez-Nunez admitted to his role as the driver in a drive-by shooting on Dec. 5, 2012, in which another MS-13 member shot at three individuals believed to be gang rivals, killing one and wounding another. After the shooting, Rodriguez-Nunez fled the scene to avoid being identified, he admitted.
What the DOJ fails to mention, however, is that the individual killed during the drive-by shooting was 14-year-old Eliezer Reyes, who was walking along Sheridan Street in Lewisdale, Md., when he was shot to death as Rodriguez-Nunez and his counterparts took aim at what they believed was a group of rival gang members. Law enforcement later confirmed the boy was not a gang member.

Eliezer Reyes, 14, died Dec. 5, 2012. Eliezer was killed in a drive-by shooting as he was walking along a Lewisdale street with two people believed to be gang members, authorities said. Luis Carlos Guzman-Ventura, 20, and Jose Luis Rodriguez-Nunez, 25, were arrested in connection with Eliezer’s slaying.
Rodriguez-Nunez was never expressly identified by the Justice Department as being in the country unlawfully. Instead, the DOJ briefly alluded to Rodriguez-Nunez’s undocumented status the way they usually do in such a press release – by adding the case had been investigated by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Shockingly, or perhaps not so much, the notoriously violent and illegal alien-stocked MS-13 gang is heavily active across parts of Northern Virginia, Washington, D.C. and Southern Maryland – heavily populated areas that fall directly in the shadow of the White House and U.S. Capitol. In fact, several other violent MS-13 gang members have been convicted of murder, robbery and rape in the region over the past few months.

In fact, it takes only 35 minutes to drive from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement headquarters in Washington, D.C. – the agency charged with implementing our nation’s immigration laws – to the street corner where Eliezer Reyes was shot to death.
