Some illegal alien activists, who are seeking full and unconditional amnesty from President Barack Obama instead of what they see as an incremental "reform policy," are now participating in protest rallies and demonstrations holding placards and signs that read more like threats than petitions for immigration reform. In fact, some are threatening to kill U.S. police officers if their demands are not met. Threats are nothing new, but what is new is the audacity displayed by protesters who have no fear of retribution by police or federal law enforcement agents and no fear of public outrage.

For example, after government stonewalling and "misinformation" about the alleged cop-killer in Sacramento, California, in October, -- a case in which he ambushed and killed two police officers and wounded two others -- federal officials finally conceded that the arrested shooter is not only an illegal alien from Mexico, but he was also deported twice by the U.S. government and he reentered twice. The Examiner also discovered that the suspected cop-killer was be one of the illegal alien detainees released by immigration authorities under orders from the Obama White House, as described in a previousExaminer news story. The shocking attack on cops was hardly covered by the national news media.

The president has already taken action to appease the illegal immigrants' advocates and the left-wing activists who support the concept of full and unconditional amnesty. While they may applaud every step being taken to appease them, they continue to pour on political pressure with the help of many supporters in American newsrooms across the country. For example, according to more than one watchdog group, of all illegal aliens released to await their deportation hearings only about six percent (6%) of them ever show up for a court appearance.

In Arizona, according to law enforcement officials, upwards of 200 illegal aliens being detained in immigration custody in Arizona were ordered released during the last month in light of the new enforcement executive directives from President Obama handed down to the Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson, which is confirmed by theImmigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) union.

Due to its location on the U.S.-Mexico border, Arizona has been forced to undergo investigations and out-and-out harassment over its state and local response to the immigration controversy. The crackdowns on illegal aliens who are suspected of multiple deportations and re-entries by Maricopa County, Arizona, Sheriff Joe Arpaio have been almost continuous since President Obama took his oath of office in 2009. To be fair to the Obama ICE officials, in 2013, 34,868 people were deported from Arizona immigration agents, but even that figure is 12 percent lower than 2012.

Researchers from the Migration Policy Center claim that more than 135,000 illegal aliens in Arizona could added to Obama's Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals programs. At least 39,000 of those "undocumented immigrants" might be added to the DACA program, and up to 97,000 parents may be able to be added to the new deferred action program for parents.

Homeland Security has also changed its guidelines on deportation priorities, resulting in the release of more than 600 people nationwide at the end of December. Those who are released have been individuals who may be eligible for DAPA and DACA programs and people who do not fall underneath DHS’ outlined priorities for immigration enforcement.

One of the big complaints by state and local law enforcement officials throughout the nation is the accepted practice of including apprehensions at the borders, that result in illegal aliens turned around and sent back into Mexico, being counted as a deportation.

For example, ICE agents executed 315,943 removal operations across the nation in 2014, with 213,719 people apprehended by ICE while trying to illegally cross into the U.S. The agency reported that Border Patrol agents made almost 500,000 apprehensions nationwide, many of them occurring near the Southwest border. Of those cases, more than 468,000 of those arrested were from Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras; the number of Mexican nationals apprehended by ICE officials were down overall, while cases involving Guatemalan, Honduran and El Salvadorians had risen, ICE reported in their year-end immigration findings.
