GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. Two suspected illegal immigrants were being held on $20,000 bonds each amid allegations they gave alcohol to two underage girls and sexually assaulted them.

Grand Junction police arrested Jose Antonio Mendez-Luna, 19, and Juan Francisco Rodriguez-Fregoso, 25, at about 1 a.m. Tuesday morning in front of a home where one of the girls lives.

One of the 13-year-olds said she and two friends accepted a ride from the men at a park Monday afternoon and ended up at a motel on U.S. Highway 50.

Mendez-Luna and Rodriguez-Fregoso allegedly left the room to buy alcohol and energy drinks. The girl said she and her friends got drunk and that the men had sex with her and one other girl.

Prosecutors were expected to file formal charges on Tuesday.

The suspects told a judge through an interpreter that they are residents of Mexico.
