Illegals demand Obama issue mass pardons, last-ditch effort to stop Trump deportation

Illegals demand Obama issue mass pardons, last-ditch effort to stop Trump deportations

By Stephen Dinan - The Washington Times - Updated: 2:04 p.m. on Tuesday, November 15, 2016

Illegal immigrants are preparing to ask President Obama to pardon some 750,000 illegal immigrant Dreamers, saying it’s their last, best hope to stave off what they fear will be a wave of deportations once Donald Trump takes office.

Community leaders have planned a rally in New York on Wednesday to make the request.

“Millions of law abiding undocumented immigrants are fearful of what will happen when the new Administration takes control in January,” the group said in a statement announcing the rally. “However, President Obama has the power of pardons that he can use to protect all DACA enrollees.”

As of September, more than 740,000 illegal immigrants had been approved for Mr. Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, a mini-amnesty that grants young adult illegal immigrants a two-year stay of deportation and issues them work permits, entitling them to driver’s licenses and some taxpayer benefits.

President-elect Donald Trump has signaled he would cancel that order, putting Mr. Obama in a bind. The president said this week that Mr. Trump should go slowly on rolling back those actions.

But the advocates want more assurances, in the form of a pardon.

Before demanding anything in country they illegally reside in, It would do them good to actually do some research on the American history and law.

The uneducated blood suckers are a bunch of ignorant idiots and demanding a mass, cross the board Pardon by stroke of a pen just confirms their host country means absolutely nothing to them and assimilation is a non-starter.

They came here illegally so they are not law abiding.

Do do these people need to go back to school to learn the basic rule of law?

lorrie, if they knew the rule of law they wouldn't be here in the first place. These people are the moochers, the cheats, the line jumpers, the drug runners, the freebie hunters, the job thieves, the scammers, the frauds, the con artists and yes, liars, of their countries. I just saw a young woman interviewed on CNN from Honduras who paid smugglers $8,000 to sneak her and a couple of kids into the United States because her "cousin" was kidnapped. They of course didn't say why he was kidnapped or by whom, but is this normal behavior? A cousin of yours is kidnapped so you take $8,000 (a lot of money in Honduras) to pay smugglers to sneak you into the United States? Was he kidnapped by drug cartels? Probably. Was she part of the opposing ring that led to his kidnapping? Probably. Was the $8,000 she paid to smugglers drug money? Unless she was rich in Honduras from some legitimate business activity, that she of course wouldn't leave, of course it was drug money.

Most Americans have less than $1,000 in savings

And over 20% don’t even have a savings account

Americans are living right on the edge — at least when it comes to financial planning.

Approximately 62% of Americans have less than $1,000 in their savings accounts and 21% don’t even have a savings account, according to a new survey of more than 5,000 adults conducted this month by Google Consumer Survey for personal finance website GOBankingRates.com. “It’s worrisome that such a large percentage of Americans have so little set aside in a savings account,” says Cameron Huddleston, a personal finance analyst for the site. “They likely don’t have cash reserves to cover an emergency and will have to rely on credit, friends and family, or even their retirement accounts to cover unexpected expenses.”

This is supported by a similar survey of 1,000 adults carried out earlier this year by personal finance site Bankrate.com, which also found that 62% of Americans have no emergency savings for things such as a $1,000 emergency room visit or a $500 car repair. Faced with an emergency, they say they would raise the money by reducing spending elsewhere (26%), borrowing from family and/or friends (16%) or using credit cards (12%). And among those who had savings prior to 2008, 57% said they’d used some or all of their savings in the Great Recession, according to a U.S. Federal Reserve survey of over 4,000 adults released last year. Of course, paltry savings-account rates don’t encourage people to save either.

In the latest survey, 29% said they have savings above $1,000 and, of those who do have money in their savings account, the most common balance is $10,000 or more (14%), followed by 5% of adults surveyed who have saved between $5,000 and just shy of $10,000; 10% say they have saved $1,000 to just shy of $5,000. Just 9% of people say they keep only enough money in their savings accounts to meet the minimum balance requirements and avoid fees. But minimum balance requirements can vary widely and be hard to meet for some consumers. They can vary anywhere between $300 a month and $1,500 a month at some major banks.

Some age groups are less likely to have savings than others. Some 31% of Generation X — who are roughly aged 35 to 54 for the purpose of this survey — while being older and presumably more experienced with money than their younger cohorts, actually report a savings account balance of zero, which is the highest percentage of all age groups. Around 29% of millennials — aged 18 to 34 — and 28% of baby boomers — aged 55 to 64 — said they have no money in their savings account. Baby boomers (17%) and seniors aged 65 and up (20%) have the most money saved of any age group while less than 10% of millennials and approximately 16% of Generation X have $10,000 or more saved.

Until Americans wake up and realize that this entire illegal immigration problem is driven, funded, fueled and manipulated by foreign drug cartels, and that's why our politicians are selling US out over it because they're on the take with the cartels, then this problem will persist until we end the War on Drugs and legalize and regulate our own drug trade which is something we should do anyway. This is not a natural problem, it's not economics, it's not about a "better life", it's running and protecting the foreign drug trade in the United States.
