Stringent application of current U.S. immigration law is making many move themselves up north — into Trudeau country

Illegal aliens are self-deporting to Canada, crossing the U.S. northern border due to President Donald Trump’s enforcement of current immigration law.

This is no doubt a shock to our neighbors to the north, who pride themselves on orderly and legal immigration — exactly what the U.S. has been demanding under Trump.

One illegal alien single mother from Eritrea, in northeast Africa — with two U.S.-born so-called anchor babies — decided to leave Las Vegas and head to Canada after she was denied asylum.

“So now I am here just hoping it gets better,” she said, as The Washington Post noted in a new piece that shared the experiences of illegal aliens who are self-deporting in order to avoid action by U.S. authorities.

“Almost everyone who immigrates to Canada has to first apply from overseas, and before they’re granted entry they’re subjected to extensive vetting by Canadian authorities,” as a recent article in The Atlantic pointed out. “Those who make the cut have to wait months or years for their turn in line before being let in.”

Another illegal alien from Sri Lanka named Modarage, a 51-year-old living illegally in the U.S. since 2005, also spoke to The Washington Post. He said he fled from Maryland to Canada after he heard that the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency was doing more to watch U.S. businesses that are hiring illegal aliens over American citizens — including raiding and auditing Maryland convenience stores and searching for workers here illegally.

“Donald Trump’s administration has pushed me here [to Canada],” Modarage told The Post, noting he arrived in Plattsburgh, New York, with two sets of clothing and $300.

“All immigrants are under threat … If I got deported, it would kill me,” the same man also said.

Since October 2017, the Trump administration has checked employment records at 6,093 work sites, up from 1,716 in the prior fiscal year from October 2016 to the end of September 2017, reported Breitbart.

In the past nine months, ICE has reportedly made 675 criminal arrests of managers or supervisors, and 984 administrative arrests (an arrest and detention of individuals by the state without trial, usually for security reasons) of illegals — in contrast with 139 criminal arrests and 172 administrative arrests during the prior 12 months, according to a DHS statement.

This amounts to a fivefold increase in criminal arrests and a sixfold increase in administrative arrests.

While illegal aliens have been self-deporting under the Trump administration’s pro-enforcement immigration agenda — the number of border crossings from Canada into the U.S. has also increased.

Canadian border crossings into the U.S. have increased more than 140 percent since last year, according to CBS News.

Who said self-deportation doesn't work?

We've got at least twenty million illegal aliens that Canada can receive. Immigration enforcement in America seems non existent in many ways. Why should we keep giving out visas and hurting ourselves because we don't, won't, can't enforce immigration laws and follow through on forcing the people to leave.

We are effectively getting nowhere in the immigration mess as far as numbers going out versus the numbers getting in and never leaving. This repeated pattern is suicide for our future.

You're absolutely right, GeorgiaPeach. We need a different plan, a major change in strategy.

Cut off the freebies including school and healthcare, no housing!

All schools need to check immigration status and valid Student Visa is current or NO enrollment in our schools.
