Immigration group warns Deakin is a spoiler in McCain race

A conservative anti-illegal immigration group is asking Republican U.S. Senate candidate Jim Deakin to withdraw from the race to improve the chances of former Congressman J.D. Hayworth.

“Unfortunately, Mr. Deakin's continued candidacy has a strong chance of handing the election to John McCain, yet he has almost no significant chance of winning the race according to numerous polls and historical election models,â€

    This should go

This should go on EVERY SINGLE Arizona Forum and Blog in order to expose the dirty politics and to make sure support for the right candidate is assured. McCain must go as our Republic depends on it...

I think some ads showcasing statements made by former McCain advisor Juan Hernandez would knock McCain out, basically Juan thought all Mexicans should have the same rights in the USA that Americans do. I think ALIPAC should start running ads like this against McCain, I think after the first one thousands of dollars would pour in to keep the ads going.

    This is true.

The problem is that the UNDERGROUND ECONOMY owns the Republican Party in Arizona.

A vote for Deakin *IS* a vote for McCain.

This reminds me of the choices the GOP gave the American People in the 2008 runoff between McCain and Obama.

They essentially cut their nose off to spite their face.

I believe that if this man wants to run for elected
Office he should be allowed to do so.

All of you know how democracy functions , the will of the people must be respected.

Yep that's me , glad you enjoyed it . I learned Alot from the people on here who told me about Nevada.

As for mccain , I always liked him as our rep on issues Other than immigration , but this is something vital to our national security , sadly we must now work to push him out.

We both can agree that if Lafayette were alive today he would be straight in the middle of this fight - and NOT on McCain's side! Lafayette would cringe on the mere notion that America could (or would) ever be invaded by Mexico, and without even firing a shot.

What are you hearing on the streets and in grocery stores, bars, churches .. wherever you hang at?

You mentioned McCain had dealt fairly on most issues, but NOT on the one of protecting Arizona from the Mexican invasion.

Perplexing is how THAT issue is always pushed to the back burner during these elections.
