The Obama administration is ratcheting up its efforts against state immigration laws around the country, according to a new report.

After suing Arizona and Alabama over immigration measures enacted in those states, the Justice Department is currently reviewing immigration laws in four other states to decide whether to challenge the measures, the Washington Post reported. The immigration measures being examined were enacted in Utah, Georgia, South Carolina and Indiana.

The Justice Department will examine the four laws to see the extent to which the measures interfere with the federal government’s enforcement of immigration law.

“Based on that review and applying those principles, the United States will decide whether and when to bring suit challenging particular state laws,â€

Look no farther than Eric Holder and Tom Perez. Perez came to the Justice department from CASA de Maryland.

The potential challenges come at an opportune time for the White House, which is seeking to boost Hispanic support for President Barack Obama’s reelection bid.
Perhaps that is because he is down in the polls with about every other 'group.'

If his administration has the audacity to sue these add'l states for passing laws (since the Feds won't enforce most of theirs) he will continue to go down in the polls with the general population. Bad move imo.

And btw, the title of the article should read 'On illegal immigration, Justice Department eyes four more lawsuits.'

Exactly. Let him keeps pandering to these invaders and he is doomed. Look what happened to Perry. Americans are sick to death of these illegals.

There's a new rule in "journalism" now. Illegal, is a new cuss word.

Of course, they aren’t planning legal challenges over sanctuary cities and failures to enforce the law, no, they may sue over tough illegal immigration laws.

    Fox News;
[quote]After suing Arizona and Alabama over their strict immigration laws, the Obama administration is seriously weighing whether to legally challenge similar measures in four other states.

So apparently, it's not possible to garner "hispanic support" while enforcing our immigration laws. Is that the inference?

It seems to me that our government is encouraging election fraud to stay in power.

I has already been proven that illegals have been voting in Federal elections. In Colorado the proven illegal count should have nullified Bennet's Senate seat. Illegals =5000 votes, Bennet won by less than 1000.

A friend of mine in Las Vegas was furious that when she went to vote at her polling place there was a separate line for Hispanic, non English speaking, voters.

The states are teaching the Feds how to enforce immigration laws without racial profiling, and the Obama Administration is not appreciative, and retaliative. And they're going to waste millions, perhaps billions of our taxpayer dollars to try and get a legal result that the American people don't want. No wonder Obama and the Senate Democrats didn't want to refrain from raising the Debt Ceiling 1-2 months ago. Even though our country's almost bankrupt, Obama simply wants an unlimited supply of our money to pursue these senseless lawsuits. We'll keep on fighting, of course.

At least 4 states are slated to get sued by AG Holder.

To think that the pattern of several states proposing their own immigration laws was indirectly started by Obama himself 2 1/2 years ago. He took Janet Napolitano out of the chair of Arizona Governor, and moved her to a Cabinet position. This cleared the way for current Gov Jan Brewer to sign SB-1070 into law. This is perhaps what inspired several other states to propose their own immigration laws. If Napolitano was still Gov of AZ, this motivating factor might not have ever come about.

Obama's chances for re-election are getting smaller all the time. Perhaps the only ways he can stay in power is to suspend the 2012 elections, or, worse yet, intentionally allow a terrorist event to happen, and declare Martial law.

We can try to impeach him, but he might not even be an eligible President, meaning that impeachment might not be the correct, Constitutional, remedy.

It sure would be agonizing to successfully impeach Obama, and then have the Liberal News Networks declare that he never met the qualifications to be impeached. What would happen from here? The United Nations might step in, and impose their own remedy, which I suspect would be unpopular with the American populace. It begs the question of why the US doesn't withdraw their membership from the UN.
