President Barack Obama and House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, are on the ... more >
A tea party challenger to House Speaker John A. Boehner was fired Monday from his job at a Christian university after running an ad laden with sexual innuendo, playing up the notion that the Ohio Republican is suffering from “electile dysfunction.”
The “When the Moment is Right” ad from J.D. Winteregg parodies the ads for Cialis erectile dysfunction drugs and casts Mr. Boehner as a conservative sellout while making fun of his name and personal tics.
“Signs of electile dysfunction may include extreme skin discoloration, the inability to punch oneself out of a wet paper bag, or maintain a spine in the face of liberal opposition … smoking, and golf,” a narrator says. “If you have a Boehner lasting longer than 23 years, seek immediate medical attention.”
The ad concludes: “Winteregg, because Boehner shouldn’t count his chickens before they hatch.”
The ad went viral and cost Mr. Winteregg his teaching job at Cedarville University, a small Christian school outside Dayton.
Mark D. Weinstein, Cedarville University spokesman, confirmed that Mr. Winteregg was let go, saying he had been an adjunct professor at of French for three years and last week “concluded his teaching responsibilities.”
“Mr. Winteregg in his recent political campaign video did not represent the views or values of Cedarville University,” Mr. Weinstein said.
Mr. Winteregg was tapped earlier this year by the Tea Party Leadership Fund to carry the tea party flag against Mr. Boehner in the May 6 primary for the 8th Congressional District in western Ohio.
Mr. Winteregg’s ad also includes footage of Mr. Boehner playing golf with President Obama and pokes fun at Mr. Boehner’s perpetual tan skin color.

I bet John Boehner's campaign went after JD Winteregg's job to punish him for this ad. I hope this firing results in negative exposure for that tyrant Obama ally John Boehner!
And Cedarville University is going to have a permanent black mark on their reputation. Not because of JD Winteregg's ad, but because in the end they showed great intolerance for our most precious freedom of free political speech.
There is no free speech in America when corrupt politicians like John Boehnder and allies at places like Cedarville University punish you with firing for what you have to say.

I think the ad is wickedly funny and not near as bad as I thought it would be after reading the article! Either fortunately or unfortunately, depending on how you look at it, Cedarville is a private university and in America, they have the right to fire anyone at will (unless they do tenure). Certainly Boehner may have applied pressure and that would be wrong and not surprising. The influence that politicians have these days on things unrelated to their jobs is deplorable.

Sadly we no longer have free speech, news media who should be up in arms about the loss of free speech actually jumps on he band wagon always asking for a firing or apology, there was a time when we judged men on what they did not what they said.I'm old with many opinions few solutions.
