Jorge Ramos Suggests He Was Booted from Trump Presser Because He’s Latino
by Tony Lee
30 Aug 2015
Jorge Ramos, Univision’s top agitator on illegal immigration issues, implied that he was ousted from Donald Trump’s press conference in Iowa last week because he is Latino. Ramos also refused to state that Trump was not “xenophobic” or a “racist.”
When the Washington Post asked if Ramos last week if he felt that “Trump ejected you because you are Latino or because he does not respect Latinos,” Ramos said Trump “clearly does not understand Latinos or their importance in this country.”
“He wants to dispatch with millions of them. There is nothing clearer than that. He doesn’t want them here,” he responded. “Look, he’s talking about Mexicans and Latinos and national security while, by the way, Canada shares a border with the United States that is more than 5,000 miles long. It’s one of the longest in the world. Clearly, Mr. Trump’s problem is with Latinos.”
When the Post asked Ramos if he was saying that “Trump is racist or xenophobic,” Ramos replied refused to say that Trump was not a racist. Ramos replied, “I don’t like to put labels on anyone. I’m a reporter. I’d rather observe and describe and question.”
Ramos disrupted the press conference like a “Black Lives Matter” protester–and that was why he was initially booted–and even though Trump has arguably been the most accessible 2016 presidential candidate, Ramos claimed, in a talking point that he has constantly repeated since, that Trump “is putting a strain on freedom of press in the country.”
“He does not want to be asked questions,” Ramos, who tried to lecture Trump instead of actually asking him questions, said. “He does not want to be questioned.”
When asked if he was an advocate for illegal immigrants, the activist who said the issue is “personal” to him claimed, “I am just a reporter that asks questions.”
“If you want to be a good reporter — a really good reporter — many times you have to take a stand,” he said. “You cannot pretend that the other point of view has no potential effects, that it is not wrong or damaging. And in the case of Donald Trump, there are many instances in which human rights could be violated if his plans go forward.”
Ramos also said he did not want Trump to change the “dynamics of this country” and the “fabric of the United States” with tougher laws against illegal immigration.
“If he wants to get in the business of deporting babies and children and their parents, that would change the fabric of the United States,” Ramos said. “The vast majority of undocumented immigrants are Latinos. If you deport them, all of them and their children, it would change the nature and dynamics of this country.”
He insisted that “you can expect for me to keep on asking questions in many different ways. I will try to get an interview and try to get answers. I am going to keep doing my job any and every way that I can.”
On Sunday, Ramos continued to insist that Trump is “promoting bigotry,” saying someone who was attending the Trump event told him to “get out of my country” just “seconds” after Trump told him to “go back to Univision.”

Ramos claims the issue of illegal immigration is "personal" to him? Is that because he's an illegal alien who got amnesty? Is that like we should take the word of every illegal alien murderer who gets a plea deal and only serves 10 years, that all murderers should only get 10 years because it's "personal" to them?
Will someone in the journalism industry please investigate the immigration status of Jorge Ramos? He says he's a US citizen. If he was born in Mexico and migrated here on a student visa in 1983, that's a temporary visa. No other visa is ever mentioned for him. So someone please find out how he got from a student visa to US citizenship, because that is not how it's supposed to work under US law.A Nation Without Borders Is Not A Nation - Ronald Reagan

Can a former student apply for permanent residency after their student visa has expired?
by FreeAdvice staff
Someone who is temporarily in the United States on a student visa may be able to apply for permanent residency or citizenship, but not usually based solely on his or her status as a student. Whether a foreign student can obtain permanent residency or citizenship will depend on his current status and whether converting to a status that is eligible for adjustment to permanent resident status is possible.
If you are eligible for a change in status, you must file an application to change your status to that of a permanent resident. The current filing fee for adjusting your status to permanent resident is $1070.00. This fee is non-refundable if you are declined.
Determining Eligibility for Permanent Residency
Before a student files to change status, it is important to make sure he or she is eligible to do so. The first factor to determine eligibility for permanent residency is a student’s current status. If you have finished your studies and your visa has expired, your status has officially been changed from legal status to illegal status.
Unless a compelling reason exists for a student falling out of legal status, a person who is in illegal status cannot apply for permanent residency while in the United States. Instead of adjusting your status while in the U.S., you may have to return to your native country and apply for a new visa to re-enter, and then apply for permanent residency once your status is legal again.
Obtaining Permanent Residency with a Valid Student Visa
If your student visa has not expired, there may be ways for you to obtain permanent residency. Only certain categories of immigrants can apply for permanent residency. Usually the qualifying categories include asylum based, family based, and work based. A student visa will not automatically qualify, but while your status is legal, you can convert your status to another type.
Your newly-converted status will allow you to remain in the United States and make you eligible to apply for permanent residency. For example, if during the time you have attended school in the United States, you and your family have become political targets of your native government, you may be able to apply for asylum. Once you are granted asylum status, you may then apply for permanent residency.
Consulting an Immigration Attorney
Immigration laws provide other exceptions for student aliens that may apply to your situation. If you are close to losing your status, you should immediately contact an attorney who specializes in immigration law. An immigration attorney can help you review all of the options available to you based on your individual situation.

There's a lot missing on Jorge Ramos. All that's reported by him is this flaky student visa in 1983 with the "plans" to attend an extension course at UCLA. An extension course. Then he goes to work, without a work visa? How does he stay in the US for 30 years without a green card? How does he ever do that? How is he eligible for US citizenship in 2008 if he's an illegal alien?
Did GW Bush pull strings to enable that?
More needs to be known. It's time for American Journalists to be asking questions about the Mexican Journalist interfering with and disrupting our election process on behalf of foreign nationals in our country in violation of US immigration, US labor and US civil rights laws.

Ramos came here from Mexico on a student visa in 1983, but instead went to work for an affiliate of the Spanish International Network in Los Angeles which eventually became Univision. Ramos became a U.S. citizen in 2008.

So how did he work in the US without a work visa? His student visa wouldn't allow his work for the Spanish International Network, and would have soon expired or defaulted if he didn't attend the extension course. I think Jorge Ramos was probably an illegal alien and may have committed immigration fraud to obtain his citizenship, and he may not actually even be a legal naturalized US citizen. Wiki says he became a US citizen in 2008, but maybe he didn't or if he did, it looks like there's a lot missing in-between the student visa he didn't use to how he's been in the US for 32 years.

It only mentions the student visa where he "planned" to attend an extension course at UCLA. Then he goes to work for the station, but it doesn't mention any visas or green cards after that.
I don't think we can find that out. Journalists, ICE or the FBI would have to investigate that. Maybe Judicial Watch could get the documents. This man is a scourge and we need to find out if he complied with the laws to be here or violated them as he promotes and encourages others to do. He claims he left Mexico because the news organization he worked on edited his work and told him to tone it down, and he considered that an infringement on his "free speech". Well, every journalist even those in our country are often told that because they're not news, they're opinionated and probably not substantiated. The more you look at him and think about his entry here, the reasons and how he did it, it's all suspicious now, especially with his statement about illegal immigration being "personal" to him.
Why would illegal immigration into the US be "personal" to him unless it applied to him?A Nation Without Borders Is Not A Nation - Ronald Reagan
