Gee - now maybe every criminal will apply for a restraining order from law enforcement officers when they might have a warrant out for them... or something equally rediculous...? Gimme a break.
I hope Elvira keeps her bags packed.

She needs to go. On talk radio this morning it's become a joke. Ryan gets his sentence today....a white crooked politician....he's tried illness, extensions.......so now they're joking that he should go hold up with Elvira in the sanctuary church...... I'm sure in his world what he did was ethical and justified .......but it's against the law. She has not convinced anyone to go to their side. If anything she's proven the law has to be enforced because even when you give them a chance.....they still won't obey the law. Even the "compassion" from law makers was abused.

No restraining order for immigrant
September 6, 2006
U.S. District Judge Amy St. Eve refused to grant a 10-day temporary restraining order Tuesday in the deportation of an illegal Mexican immigrant trying to stay in the country with her American-born son.
Attorney Joseph Mathews, who represents Elvira Arellano's son Saul, 7, was not surprised by St. Eve's ruling, given legal complications in the case.
Mathews has filed a lawsuit on Saul's behalf, charging that the child would have his rights violated and face unfair hardship if his mother was sent back to Mexico.
The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency now considers Arellano, 31, a fugitive because she ignored the deportation order. She has sought sanctuary in a West Side church.
