Justice Department investigators visit Arpaio's office
Feds looking into possible civil rights violations

The federal investigation into the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office took U.S. government officials to Sheriff Joe Arpaio's office in the Wells Fargo Building Thursday morning.
At least half a dozen investigators with the U.S. Justice Department arrived at Arpaio's downtown Phoenix office about 9:30 a.m. Thursday.
The Justice Department officials announced last month that they would launch a civil rights investigation into allegations that Arpaio's deputies violated the constitutional rights of citizens during crime-enforcement operations.
Arpaio bragged about the pending visit to a crowd at a breakfast hosted by Councilwoman Thelda Williams in north Phoenix last week.
"This is a badge of honor," Arpaio said of the investigation. "We don't racial profile, so let them come down. I welcome them. We are not giving in to them."
The visitors, whose names were on the sheriff's log book, include:
Elizabeth Keenan, a deputy section chief with the department; Patrick Chang, a deputy chief in the department's civil-rights division; and Shanetta Cutlar, the chief of the special litigation section.

The feds are posturing to try to get him to stop his programs of turning illegal aliens, caught while committing other crimes, over to ICE, although it is totally legal.

They simply are trying to rattle him and he even knows it. They are pathetic and need to be called on it, why don't we all email them, explain where our support goes and that we are watching their moves and motives in this.

BTW, who do you think is behind this (Hmm.. didn't he and Napolitano have some problems in the past?)? Got to be the extremist liberals in our government who do not want actual public servants like Arpaio, they want zombies to follow them and do their bidding.

Zombies like Pelosi. Watched her just the other day on the news and she had said she would give Obama an"A" for his work so far in 100 days! God she looked like a PUPPET on a string. Phoney smile and all.

Guess it wouldn't be any different then the night she appeared to be a seal always standing and clapping while Obama spoke in Congress.

Arpaio needs more vocal support from Law Enforcement around our country. This is un-believable.

He also needs more out spoken support from the public!!

Maybe we need to start using Pelosi's name to characterize a person who normally we'd call a "brown noser", instead call them a "Pelosi".
