A man arrested last week in a drug bust near Gillette has been identified as Fransisco Castillo.

State Trooper Bill Dohse said 167 pounds of marijuana was found in a Budget Rental truck driven by Castillo. Only one man was arrested in the bust, not two as previously reported.

Castillo, 40, is charged with felony possession of marijuana. His initial appearance in Circuit Court was scheduled for Monday.

Castillo is suspected of being an illegal immigrant and was traveling from Washington to Chicago, Dohse said.

The drug bust happened Friday at about 10 a.m. on Interstate 90 during a traffic stop seven miles east of Gillette.

A drug-sniffing dog alerted officers that drugs were inside the truck. The marijuana was found behind a false wall inside the truck, Dohse said.
