Despite the false rhetoric coming from both the Democrat and Republican parties, crossing our borders without legal authorization is a crime.

The specific law states: "Any alien who enters or attempts to enter the United States at any time or place other than as designated by immigration officers . . . shall, for the first commission of any such offense, be fined under title 18 or imprisoned not more than 6 months, or both."

Additionally, entering this country illegally after being previously having been deported is a felony, and subject to a much stiffer penalty.

Of course, if such laws are not enforced, nor our border defended in any sort of meaningful way, our laws are rendered rather laughable...

-In May 2011, Ricardo Elvin Martinez, 47, was sentenced to seven and a half years in federal prison, after he pleaded guilty to illegally re-entering the United States. He was arrested in September when a U.S. Customs agent discovered him sleeping in shipping container at Norfolk International Terminals in Virginia.
The Mexican national had already been deported five times, with his last removal in coming August 2009. Over the last several years, he has been convicted of 24 criminal charges, including robbery, larceny and cocaine distribution.

According to U.S. Attorney Neil MacBride, "Each time he turned right back around and unlawfully reentered the country, once within a matter of days. Seemingly, his only purpose here has been to violate our laws and terrorize our citizens."

-In August 2010, Mexican national Victor Manuel Gonzalez Martinez, 28, was indicted by a federal grand jury in Pittsburgh for criminally violating federal immigration law, and deported.

Of course, deportations are rather meaningless to Martinez, as he had already been deported eight times between 2004-2006, only to quickly re-enter.
The illegal alien was actually deported three times over a six-day period in May 2004.

-On the evening of May 16, 2010, an Edmonds (WA) police officer responding to a woman’s cries for help, caught Mexican national Jose Lopez Madrigal, 46, on top of the woman, raping her. Madrigal had forced the woman into the bushes behind a Safeway.

According to the arrest affidavit, Madrigal approached the woman, offering her $35 for sex. When she said no, the illegal alien dragged her behind the store and raped her.

The 28-year-old rape victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Madrigal reportedly told police: "Sometimes we have control in our brains, but we make mistakes."

Because the illegal alien has a total of 35 different aliases, police had to rely on fingerprint records to identify Madrigal.

Madrigal has a lengthy criminal record in this country, dating back to 1989, when he was convicted of theft with a firearm in California. After that, he was deported twice, before his next arrest on this side of the border.

In 1999, he was arrested for drug distribution in San Diego and San Francisco.

He was deported three times that year alone,
between April and August.

In 2000, Madrigal was arrested again for drug distribution in Stockton, Ca.

In 2002, he pleaded guilty to sexual assault in Denver, and deported again.

In 2003, he was deported three more times.

-In November 2009, in a Pittsburgh courtroom, U.S. District Judge David Cercone sentenced Uziel Jesus Lopez-Jiminez, 28, to probation, after his 10th illegal crossing into the United States.

U.S. Attorney Robert Cessar confirmed that between 1998 and 2007, Lopez-Jiminez, 28, had been deported back to Mexico nine times.

His last arrest and deportation came as a result of a DUI conviction in Beaver County, PA.

The Mexican national has committed at least nine felonies in this country.
This case, which is an indictment of our rather laughable border security, came to this reporter's attention only a few days after Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano told a crowd gathered at the Center for American Progress: "I've been dealing hands-on with immigration issues since 1993, so trust me: I know a major shift when I see one, and what I have seen makes reform far more attainable this time around.”

-"United States is stupid...I come back every time."

Those words were spoken by Mexican national Rolando Mota-Campos to an immigration agent after his 11th arrest in the United States. Incredibly, Mota-Campos has been deported three times and has vowed to return again after completing his prison term and yet another undeniably meaningless deportation to Mexico.

In May 2009, U.S. District Judge Henry Coke Morgan Jr. said: "The defendant has expressly stated that he has no respect for the United States and that once deported he will re-enter again and come back to Newport News where his history of alcohol abuse will further endanger the residents of this district." Judge Morgan sentenced Mota-Campos to 14 1/2 years in prison
Mota-Campos whose face is adorned with a teardrop tattoo, threatened to behead a woman who was protecting his wife and child from his brutality.

While 43-year-old Rolando Mota-Campos' personal reign of terror is apparently over, at least for a few years, it is beyond sickening why this illegal alien with ties to the Mexican Mafia was able to disregard our border as well as the lives of innocent Americans for 19 years. He first entered this country illegally in 1988.
Mota-Campo's long criminal history in this country is as follows:

1992...abduction
1993...assault (2), DUI
1995...DUI, vehicular assault
1997...maiming, drunk in public
1998...attempted robbery
2003...DUI
2004...DUI, domestic violence (beating his wife and son)
2005...threatening to kill

The day after Mota-Campos was arrested with his 2004 DUI, he brutally attacked his wife and son. Fearing for her life, his wife then took their child and went into hiding. A few months later, he threatened to cut off the head of his wife's social worker with his machete because she would not tell him the whereabouts of his wife and child. Court documents reveal that Mota-Campos told her that "her sweet little head can come right off."

Though convicted numerous times on DUI charges, Mota-Campos never served more than a 30-day sentence for that charge. Authorities point to the fact that he has used 16 different names as well as phony identification papers as the reason for the rather light punishment. This, despite his admission in 1993 to an immigration agent that he had killed someone while driving drunk in Mexico City.

Mota-Campos has entered this country illegally through the states of California, Arizona, and Texas.

These are but a few examples of the many thousands of previously deported illegal aliens who have re-entered the United States, only to harm our citizens.

They steal taxpayer services, they drive drunk on our highways, they kill our police officers, and they victimize our children.

Until the federal government gets serious about defending our border with Mexico, rather than actually encouraging the current invasion, it will continue to be open-season on American citizens. Perhaps, one day, we will be smart enough to elect a leader who will take their oath of office seriously, rather than just another corrupt businessman who is willing to look the other way.
