Mexico's Mana calls on undocumented migrants to unite

    Published September 16, 2015EFE

The Mexican rock group Mana on Wednesday called on undocumented immigrants to unite to fight for immigration reform and to halt the avalanche of Republican attacks.

During their participation in an event in Los Angeles to motivate the Latino community to vote in the 2016 presidential election, the band exhorted Latinos to go to the polls and support the more than 11 million undocumented foreigners who are in immigration limbo.

"Let's suppose that I'm 'illegal" and I have a pal, a relative or a friend and I say, hey, get out there and vote for the candidates who support us," said lead singer Fher Olvera.

Mana's invitation to undocumented foreigners was made during a live broadcast of a special edition of the popular radio show hosted by Eddie "Piolin" Sotelo.

The broadcast is part of a campaign to register new voters and came on the same day that 11 Republican aspirants for the U.S. presidency, including controversial real estate magnate Donald Trump, are facing off in their second televised debate.

Mana was one of the first music groups to expression rejection for the multimillionaire's comments and on Wednesday the band reaffirmed that sentiment.

"The words of Mr. Trump are rather off the wall. It's complete ignorance, he's a person filled with hate, this country would not be what it is without the Mexicans of the last century and this century. We're not going to get down on his level, we simply have to respond with our votes," Olvera said.

This time, the musicians wanted to turn their verbal support into effective participation and specifically traveled from Mexico to be in Los Angeles to express their commitment to the campaign and give encouragement to undocumented immigrants.

"There are 11 million people who are walking around with a lot of fear, who are very worried that they're going to be deported, who've been here for years. These people can register, pay taxes, pay a fine," Miami-born drummer Alejandro Gonzalez Trujillo said.

Gonzalez, the only U.S. citizen in the band, is one of the spokesmen for the campaign.

In the meeting with their fans, Mana extended a hand to three teenage immigrants who became part of the wave of Central American children who entered the United States last year and also are being used by the Republicans in their presidential debates.

"Trump not only insulted illegals, he talked about those who have arrived: He talks about ... (our) parents, he called them criminals, rapists and that's not true. Those people came to work, to make this country great," Olvera said. EFE

Whose nation is this? Why does an enemy invading for 29 years get to practice politics within our borders? Stupid America, that should equate to aiding and abetting the enemy and lead to treason charges and in-field firing squad execution! Good place to begin is with the administration in charge of border security when 9/11 perpetrators entered illegally. Present administration needs no prosecutorial formalities, they readily admit to aiding and abetting.

This is the typical pattern. Early on, when there just a few, they are so humble, so polite,
so innocuous. But as the numbers get bigger and bigger they get more and more aggressive, more demands more arrogance. Has the general public learned nothing from California? How many are right out in the open telling everybody they are here illegally and nothing is done to them? They openly say so on TV and radio and nobody comes to pick them up and deport them. This is insanity. And why are there not mass protest whenever a celebrity illegal aliens shows his anti-American faces?

Where are the Country Music bands demanding that foreigners go home? “American jobs for Americans.” Where are they? With all of their loud music blasting into our ears the silence about the illegal alien invasion is like the vacuum of space. Perhaps I have missed something but the last time I heard a Country singer open his mouth it was to mumble something about maybe the Confederate battle flag should be hidden from public view. So what is his message, that we should be ashamed of our heritage? Boy thems is real fightin words about stopping the illegal alien invasion.Ultimately politics is a test of wills; people who are more aggressive and more tenacious and more uncompromising will ultimately win. Politics is war by other means. Illegal immigration is an invasion and like all invasions it is a war.

Patriots, we are in a struggle for the very survival of our whole way of life. Donald Trump, because he insists that illegal aliens must go home, is probably our last best chance to revive our dying culture and American freedom.

I can see no good coming from the, give them amnesty, Ben Carson campaign. He can only divide and weaken the anti political class vote.
