Napolitano: Border Control ‘Unobtainable,’ a DC Myth
Video at source link.

by Pam Key29 Jan 2015211
Thursday at the Council on Foreign Relations, former Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said “operational control” of the border that the Republican Congress is pushing for in any new immigration legislation is “absolutely an unattainable standard.”
Napolitano said, “Operational control is a D.C. buzz phrase,” adding “It’s a border. People go back and forth. What you want to have is the greatest possible observation of the border.”
“The phrase operational control that has been used in the House bill is a politically attractive, absolutely an unattainable standard,” she concluded.

It's time for federal taxpayers to demand that the US government stop hiring lifeguards who don't know how to swim.
In other words, if you don't know how to control a border and you don't know how to stop illegal immigration, then why in the world would US taxpayers want to pay you to secure the US border and enforce US immigration law?
There is no reason, not one, thus, we don't want to waste $50 billion a year on a bunch of people and a bunch of overhead supporting a bunch of people who don't know how to do their job.
SHUT. IT. DOWN. DEFUND NOW.
Take $20 billion of this year's funding, one year only, and hand it out to the states who have joined the lawsuit to stop Executive Amnesty and have passed state immigration laws that parallel federal immigration law. Problem solved.Last edited by Judy; 01-30-2015 at 02:18 AM.

Part of me thinks that this dimwit actually believes this.
Operational control of our southern border is obtainable, and for pennies on the enforcement dollar. Most illegals sneak into the United States to get jobs or better paying jobs. So all we have to do is shut off the jobs magnet. Universal E-Verify would do that.
I think that Senator Sessions is an advocate of E-Verify. People who care about American jobs and the quality of American life should call Sessions' office and let him know that they support him.
I think that NumbersUSA still has a fax on their site which can be sent for free to elected representatives.
