OBAMA: ‘WE’VE GOT TO DO OUR PART’ BY WELCOMING SYRIAN REFUGEES

    by CHARLIE SPIERING
    11 Sep 2015

During a conversation with members of the United States military, President Obama explained why he was doing more to bring additional Syrian refugees into the United States, telling service members it was “not just a European problem” but “a world problem.”

“I made certain to send through every agency that we’ve got to do our part, first of all in taking our share of refugees,” he said, describing the additional number of 10,000 refugees announced by the White House earlier this week was a “floor” of what he expected in the future.

Obama said that he was deeply involved with the larger international diplomatic effort to help keep refugees safe, praising the efforts of the European Union to harbor more of them as the fled Syria.

More diplomacy was needed, he explained, to fix the political problems in Syria but that refugees would continue to flee their countries for a better life elsewhere.

“Unfortunately, we can anticipate that refugees will be an ongoing problem for decades to come and the reason is because there are too many states that are not doing well by their people,” he said.

Obama warned that climate change would cause even more refugees and migration, contributing to more global chaos, calling for an international response to the threat.

“I just came back from Alaska where you are seeing glaciers melt rapidly and as temperatures rise … this will become a national security challenge,” he said.

No, we do not have to do our part. This is where you, Mr. Obama, need to sit down and shut up. You've caused this country enough trouble already, it's time for you to cease and desist. Take a vacation. I hear China's nice this time of year or how about Saudi Arabia, you can inspect their new air-conditioned tent program.

JUST SIT DOWN AND SHUT UP, you incompetent derelict.

We Americans certainly need to do our part to save this country and deport this creep back to Kenya.

On Thanksgiving, Obama Urges Generosity to Syrian Refugees

President Barack Obama urged Americans to show generosity to Syrian refugees in his Thanksgiving message on Thursday, reminding them that the Pilgrims who came to America in 1620 were themselves
    fleeing persecution.

"Nearly four centuries after the Mayflower set sail, the world is still full of pilgrims - men and women who want nothing more than the chance for a safer, better future for themselves and their families,"
    Obama said in his address.

Obama's plan to accept 10,000 refugees from Syria became a lightning rod for political criticism after attacks, claimed by Islamic State militants, killed 130 people in Paris two weeks ago.

The United States is leading an international coalition fighting the group in Syria and Iraq.

Since the Paris attacks, Americans now identify terrorism as the most important problem facing the country, Reuters-Ipsos polling shows.

The U.S. House of Representatives passed a bill to suspend the refugee plan and intensify refugee screening measures before lawmakers left Washington for the Thanksgiving break.

Several Republican candidates for the November 2016 presidential election have also said the refugees pose a risk.

"People should remember that no refugee can enter our borders until they undergo the highest security checks of anyone traveling to the United States," Obama said in his address.

Obama has vowed to veto the House refugee bill. But the White House has said it is open to working with lawmakers on tighter security measures for visitors from 38 countries who do not need a visa for
short visits to the United States.

In his address, Obama quoted from letters he had received from Americans welcoming Syrian refugees.

"One woman from Pennsylvania wrote me to say, 'Money is tight for us in my household... But I have a guest room. I have a pantry full of food. We can do this,'" Obama said.

"Another woman from Florida told me her family's history dates back to the Mayflower - and she said that welcoming others is part of 'what it means to be an American,'" he said.

Show us the letters. I don't believe this for a minute.

What Obama didn't mention was the letters from those against probably outnumbered those in support by a margin of 5 to 1.

True, but at the same time I don't believe anyone with family history leading back to the Mayflower would write such a letter and I know no one on a limited budget in Pennsylvania would be offering their guest room and pantry to Syrian Refugees when homeless Americans are all over the place in Pennsylvania. I have family history that truly leads back to the Mayflower and I can assure everyone that no one on that boat expected to build a country that would destroy itself through massive immigration, let alone put themselves in peril by admitting Syrian Refugees when our nation is already boiling over with immigrants and under threat from terrorists operating in Syria. I've also lived in Pennsylvania, and know these people first-hand. There is no nicer group of people, however, none of them are stupid enough to allow any refugee or immigrant for that matter build a cocoon on their guest room and raid their pantries. The very notion of it is beyond ludicrous.

These letters are fabrications and Judicial Watch should order a Freedom of Information Act request and expose these White House lies. You have no expectation of privacy in a letter to the White House especially when the President chooses to use your letter as a political ploy on a national holiday. The media should also call out this President to produce copies of the letters.

We're fed up with the sick and destructive policies destroying our country, and we're sick and tired of the lies trying to gain support for them.

This is not 1620 Mr. President! If you want to help the Syrian refugees, help them in their own country. Your standard operating procedure has been to operate from a position of weakness, not strength.
