    OK: Hundreds attend prayer vigil

    By Carla Hinton
    Religion Editor
About 350 people gathered outside a south Oklahoma City Roman Catholic church tonight for an interfaith prayer vigil of support for Hispanic immigrants.

Clergy members from various Christian denominations along with representatives from the Muslim faith community stood together near the steps of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2706 S Shartel. They said prayers of encouragement and hope for immigrants fearful of the impact of the state's immigration reform law known as House Bill 1804.

The Rev. Lance Schmitz, the Oklahoma City First Church of the Nazarene social justice minister who helped organize the gathering, noted that the vigil was being held on the law's implementation date.

The protest numbers seem to keep going down.

Notice the prayer vigil was only for hispanics, not other races. The law targets illegals of ALL races.

"Today is our chance to take a stand against evil,

So our American culture and our laws are evil.

Too bad for you, because we will continue to fight for that culture and those laws.
Go home, where everything is GOOD. Don't put up with this stuff. Go home where you're wanted and you will be happy.
    Go home.
And take the little ones with you.

Many, many Americans pray for the rule of law to be upheld in this country. We also pray for guidance for our political leaders. We don't pray because we have fear OF truth and justice, We pray FOR truth and justice.

Indeed we do, every day and in every way!

I am not evil, but I am fed up. And this kind of crap keeps me fired up!
It just makes me fight back harder in the next round.
