5 indicted on illegal immigration charges

HARRISBURG >> The United States Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement Enforcement and Removal Operations, announced that separate criminal charges were filed in U.S. District Court in Harrisburg against five illegal aliens.

Alfredo Hernandez-Sanchez, 24, was charged in a one-count indictment by a federal grand jury alleging that Hernandez-Sanchez, a Mexican citizen, who was previously arrested and deported from the United States on April 14, 2011, reentered the United States unlawfully and was found in Franklin County


If convicted, Hernandez-Sanchez faces a maximum sentence of up to 2 years' imprisonment and a $250,000 fine.


The other indictments included:

• Delfino Garcia-Arroyo, 38, was charged in a one-count indictment by a federal grand jury in Harrisburg alleging that Garcia-Arroyo, a Mexican citizen, who was previously arrested and deported from the United States on Feb. 14, 2012, reentered the United States unlawfully and was found in Dauphin County.
• Luis Torres-Escalantes, 31, was charged in a one-count indictment by a federal grand jury alleging that Torres-Escalantes, a Mexican citizen, who was previously arrested and deported from the United States on Nov. 5, 2012, reentered the United States unlawfully and found in York County.
• Nicolas Antonio Huc-Moo, 34, was charged in a one-count indictment by a federal grand jury alleging that Huc-Moo, a Guatemalan citizen, who was previously arrested and deported from the United States on Aug. 27, 2008, reentered the United States unlawfully and was found in York County,
• Cresencio Vazquez-Munoz, 30, was charged in a one-count indictment by a federal grand jury alleging that Vazquez-Munoz, a Mexican citizen, who was previously arrested and deported from the United States on Dec. 17, 2012, reentered the United States unlawfully and was found in Dauphin County.

The investigations were conducted by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement Enforcement and Removal Operations and are being prosecuted by Special Assistant United States Attorney Alice Song Hartye.
