Thread: PA - Nail salon employee accused of touching woman's breasts

Radnor >> A 20-year-old woman and her sister went to a nail salon in Wayne on Thursday but the woman received more than a manicure.

She told police that a male employee had reached under her arms and touched her breasts with both hands after giving her a back rub.

Jaime Tzompantzi Chacon,31, of the 500 block of Little Croft Road in Upper Darby, was an employee of the Blooming Nail Salon on Lancaster Avenue, police said. He walked around the salon giving customers back massages while they had their nails done. At a press conference Friday, Radnor Police Lt. Andy Block said he believed it is likely there are other victims and asked them to come forward.

“We have reason to believe there are other victims that he inappropriately touched,” said Block. “We don’t know if this individual is a predator. Sometimes people are afraid to notify police. It’s a situation here where he shouldn’t be in the country.”

The incident allegedly occurred shortly before 5 p.m. on June 30 and women came to the police station immediately afterward to report it, Block said.

Chacon was arrested Friday after an investigation and District Justice Lee Hunter ordered him held on 10 percent of $25,000 bail late Friday afternoon. Chacon, who police said was an illegal immigrant from Mexico, must also show a valid green card or passport to be released, Block said.

Chacon was charged with indecent assault and harassment, said Det. Christopher Four. The salon owners, who also have a salon in Newtown Square where Chacon sometimes worked, are cooperating with the investigation and have not been charged. Chacon had worked for the nail salons for four years but police were uncertain how long he’d been in this country.

Meanwhile, the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency has been notified, said Block. Block added that Chacon, who has no known criminal history in the U.S., was not licensed by the state of Pennsylvania to perform massages.

If convicted of the two charges, Chacon, might be sentenced to up to 2 ½ years, Block said.

“Unlike Philadelphia we are not a sanctuary City,” said Radnor Police Superintendent William Colarulo. “If you do anything wrong here, you are going to get prosecuted and deported. I think sanctuary cities are ridiculous.”

Chacon did not respond when asked to comment as he was placed into a police vehicle to be taken to court for arraignment.

There you go. Allow the police departments and ICE to do their jobs, eliminate sanctuary cities and there will be a constant ebb and flow of illegal immigrants being deported out of this country.
