Immigration Ordinance: Battle Revived
Thursday the Palm Bay City Council voted it down, but now the fight is back on over a hotly contested immigration ordinance.
Some small business owners are trying to revive an immigration ordinance that was shot down in Palm Bay.
The ordinance would fine businesses found employing undocumented workers.
The city council voted against the ordinance, but now a couple is creating a petition that would put the issue on the ballot before voters.
They say their business only earned 20 thousand dollars last year because undocumented workers were getting the work they couldn't.
Some in Palm Bay are celebrating the city's vote against the ordinance.
City officials say the issue will return if about 5 thousand people sign the petition that would put it before voters.Support our FIGHT AGAINST illegal immigration & Amnesty by joining our E-mail Alerts at http://eepurl.com/cktGTn
