Thread: Petition from Donald J Trump to the Senate to Build the wall.

Received this earlier as an email from Donald J. Trump- I signed it. They, of course, ask for a donation at the end - skipped it. Still VERY unhappy about Chuckie and Nancy and DACA.




There’s been a lot of noise today and a lot of rumors.

Let me set the record straight in the simplest language possible…

...WE WILL BUILD A WALL (NOT A FENCE) ALONG THE SOUTHERN BORDER OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA TO HELP STOP ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION AND KEEP AMERICA SAFE.

Apparently, liberals in Congress and the mainstream media need one more reminder that building the wall is non-negotiable.

So please, sign our petition to demand that we BUILD THE WALL.

We already gave amnesty and passed building a WALL...fund it!

Why do we have to do a "Dirty Deal" on DACA to petition to build the WALL again? You already played that hand years ago.

Why such an emphasis on the wall, when we have lots of laws on the books that would help fix the problem?

Are we falling for something that will keep us from thinking about the fact our government is giving more and more freedom, more and more citizenship to illegals while we are kept focused on building a wall, that could be in contention for years and become a moot point, as it did after the last promise of a wall.

We didn't get a wall, we didn't get any enforcement either - we just got more illegals, more citizenship, more criminals, more turning a blind eye to law breaking.

Unless our government begins to enforce interior laws, laws they already have on the books, laws that have served us well in the past, how in the world can we believe they want to do anything to fix the problem?

If the WALL keeps the pregnant ones out...it will pay for itself.

Possibly, but there are other ways for them to come to this country illegally.

Lots of trucks come across our borders - how may are checked? Few I'd say.

We have a huge coastline, the coast guard can't patrol every foot.

Small aircraft can fly and land in isolated areas and the people are into the interior and gone before it could be discovered.


As long as they can get a job, their children are made legal citizens, they get free benefits are immune from our laws - they will come.

I am not against the wall, again, really I'm not. I just fear we are placing far too much emphasis on the fence, when we should be forcing the laws inside our country to be enforced.

Why are there no demands for prosecuting employers? The silence is deafening on that subject and it is the one thing that can begin to make a difference and it could be done yesterday.

So let's prosecute the employers, fine them as the law prescribes and use that money to build the wall????

As someone in Mexico said, 'If they build a 11 foot wall, there will be businesses sprout up building 12 foot ladders."

Yes, we need to stop them coming here, but as long as they are home free, cared for, allowed to work once they get here - they will get here.

Come on, you've been in the game long enough to know that Trump is just using the "build the wall" stuff to take the pressure off his recent betrayal on DACA. He's simply attempting to appease his base. However, I think he is hugely underestimating us in this attempt to play us as dimwits.

Signing a DACA amnesty will be an unforgiveable transgression that he'll regret. He can promise a wall from sea to shinning sea and it still won't gain our trust back if he signs an illegal alien amnesty!

I have always said and always believed the wall was at best unnecessary - at worst, misdirection

I'm not disagreeing on that - never have. As I said, I believed Pres. Trump may have thought a wall would work. I also was naive enough to believe any president who spoke so tough about illegals and wanted to go to the extreme of building a wall, would be gung ho to enforce the laws he already had at his disposal.

That has been my disappointment.

I'm just hoping the people begin to realize it for what it is.

I don't want a wall, I don't want any more laws, I just want the laws we have enforced and really enforced.

I've been waiting for that since Reagan gave amnesty and we were made all manner of promises that didn't happen.

You can't enforce the laws against 30 million illegal aliens with 5,000 ICE Agents and 300 immigration judges. It's impossible.
