ROWAN COUNTY, NC – The Salisbury Police are hunting for Eliezer Zaragoza Cruz, 36, for the alleged statutory rape of a 12 year-old girl at a Salisbury home. The girl and her family were said to be known by Cruz.

Cruz, 5’3″ and weighing approximately 135 lbs., is believed to be in either Salisbury or Wilmington, N.C. where has family. Cruz is also associated with a church on Newsome Road in Salisbury.

The Rowan County Department of Social Services is investigating the case.
