    A Political Process Question

    I am looking at how my Senators voted recently and the vote to "Invoke Cloture" on the Kennedy-McCain immigration bill is one of the votes.

    I know that cloture is more or less ending the debate on the issues, but I'm not sure if a Yay or Nay is good.

    Can anybody help me on that?

    Invoke Cloture

    Permits maximum 30 additional hours for considering the bill during which each Senator may not speak for a full hour, but, guaranteed 10 minutes for debate....
