President’s illegal alien uncle gets his license back

President Obama’s illegal-alien uncle is once again a fully legal Massachusetts driver, reclaiming his license this afternoon after serving a 45-day suspension he agreed to as part of a plea deal in a drunken-driving rap.

Onyango Obama, 67, walked into the Registry of Motor Vehicles’ Worcester branch about 2:30 this afternoon and walked out moments later with a new license, according to RMV spokeswoman Sara Lavoie. Obama had been driving for about a month and a half on a hardship license, which allowed him to get behind the wheel only during certain hours.

“The hardship restriction was lifted today as allowed by law,” Lavoie said.

Obama has held a Massachusetts license since at least the early 1990s, officials say; the RMV does not check immigration status and Obama did have a valid Social Security number as required.

Framingham cops busted Obama on drunken-driving charges in August. After posting a vigorous fight to the charges early on, he pleaded to the facts of the case in March, meaning he admitted police had enough evidence to convict him. The case was continued without a finding for a year, meaning he will avoid further punishment if he stays out of trouble.

Obama, of Framingham, is the half-brother of President Obama’s late father, and the brother of Obama’s aunt Zeituni Onyango, who won a controversial fight for asylum in 2010. He came to the United States from Kenya in 1963 to study at prep school, and lived quietly in Boston and Framingham over the years. A judge ordered him deported in 1992 for what his local lawyer said was a failure to renew his visa. His immigration attorney, Margaret Wong, has repeatedly declined to comment on the pending immigration challenge.

Immigration lawyers say Obama’s fight against deportation could take years. They expect him to argue that returning to Kenya would put him in danger.

they just want the upper hand they will do any thing to get in .
