Radicals Are Being Recruited To Unlawfully Obstruct Illegal Immigration Raids In Philadelphia

A Philadelphia-based pro-sanctuary cities group is recruiting radical activists - much like the ones rioting nationwide in protest of Donald Trump’s election win - to obstruct Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents from conducting lawful raids to apprehend and deport illegal aliens.

A link for Sanctuary Philadelphia’s recruitment drive was forwarded to me this morning by a friend:



This action appears to be in direct violation of 18 U.S. Code 327 – Conspiracy to Impede or Injure an Officer:

“If two or more persons in any State, Territory, Possession, or District conspire to prevent, by force, intimidation, or threat, any person from accepting or holding any office, trust, or place of confidence under the United States, or from discharging any duties thereof, or to induce by like means any officer of the United States to leave the place, where his duties as an officer are required to be performed, or to injure him in his person or property on account of his lawful discharge of the duties of his office, or while engaged in the lawful discharge thereof, or to injure his property so as to molest, interrupt, hinder, or impede him in the discharge of his official duties, each of such persons shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than six years, or both.”

In this case, Sanctuary Philadelphia appears to be conspiring to recruit 1000 people to impede the official and lawful duties of federal officers.

We have seen how quickly “peaceful protests” against President-elect Trump have turned into violent riots. It stands to reason that the most aggressive anti-Trump radicals would be among the first to sign up for this new initiative, putting federal agents and those assisting them in grave danger.

I spoke with the FBI Field Office in Philadelphia and was told they were “looking into this matter.”

These "activists" (I prefer terrorist) are also in violation of harboring illegal aliens.
