Religious leaders: Immigrants suffering after raid
Religious leaders: Immigrants suffering after raid

DES MOINES, Iowa - Religious leaders and Immigration reform advocates say the human suffering caused by a raid on a Postville meatpacking plant continues and officials are ignoring the problem.
In a conference call Wednesday with reporters, the Rev. Steve Brackett of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Postville says the May 12 raid on the Agriprocessors Inc. meatpacking plant has left dozens of women with children destitute.
Officials arrested but released about 40 women to care for children. They must wear ankle bracelets and can't work because of their illegal status. Since their husbands are in jail, they are relying on churches for contributions of food and money.
Brackett and representatives of Jewish organizations say the federal government must hold companies responsible for hiring illegal immigrants and stop tearing families apart in raids.

Personally, I don't give a rat's ass. Call the Capitol Switchboard at 202-224-3121 and find someone who cares. Talk to Nancy Pelosi or Harry Reid.

The church likes it when illegal aliens contribute to the coffers and now you're whining because you have to support them? The STOP offering them sanctuary! Call DC and tell them to ENFORCE the LAWS and deport illegal aliens! Until then, YOU can support them because WE REFUSE!Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

And they would be no less reliant on churches to give them food and money if their husbands aren't in jail? Their husbands are also illegal aliens with no right to be living or working in this country, which is why they are locked up in the first place...duh

Immigrants are not suffering, maybe ILLEGALS are suffering and if so they should return to their "home" countries!

Who gives a rat's ass if illegal alien criminal lawbreakers, illegally in the country illegally holding jobs through fraudlent or stolen ID and committing theft of services every time they drive on our roads withour license or insurance and avail themselves of any public assistance and health care programs meant to aid American citizens...are suffering. No problemo. Now get out willingly of your own accord or face deportation.

I don't care a wit that illegal aliens are having a hard time making ends meet after illegally entering our country and committing a host of other crimes, including working without authorization and using fraudlent/fictituous documents and committing ID theft.
I do care greatly about the families and loved ones of the more than 50,000 Americans killed by illegal aliens through murder, manslaughter and drunk driving over that last 7 years.
My care and compassion priorities are in order.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)
