Report: Sick Illegals Allowed to Remain in USA
by Tony Lee 16 Jul 2014, 4:26 AM PDT

The federal government is reportedly allowing illegal immigrant children who are sick to remain in the United States until they get better and not be deported back to their countries of origin in Central America.
According to an account in the Los Angeles Times about the first group of illegal immigrants who were deported to Honduras on Monday, forty people "had been scheduled to be on the flight, but two fell ill and didn't travel."
Nearly 75% of the estimated 57,000 illegal immigrant children who have unlawfully entered the country since October of last year have come from Central America. Under a 2008 law, they cannot be immediately deported because they are from countries other than Mexico or Canada. Illegal immigrant children who are unsupervised must be transferred to the Department of Health and Human Services within 72 hours of apprehension.
