A man wanted in his home country of Mexico on an aggravated robbery charge was deported for the fifth time Monday by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Dallas, officials said.

Cesar Ramon Amador-Torrez was bused from Dallas to Laredo on Monday and turned over to Mexican authorities. A warrant had been issued in June 2011 for Amador-Torrez in the city of Piedras Negras, ICE officials said.

Amador-Torrez, 30, was first arrested in May 2002 while he was illegally entering the U.S. He was voluntarily returned to Mexico then and again in December 2002, December 2004, January 2005 and April 2006.

He was apprehended in October 2006 and formally deported the next month. After illegally entering the country again in December 2006, he was convicted of illegal entry and sentenced to six months in prison. He was deported in March 2007, according to ICE.

He re-entered, got arrested and was convicted three more times from 2008 to 2014 and was sentenced to between seven months and two years in prison for each conviction.

After completing his last sentence he was transferred to ICE custody in April, according to ICE.

Re-entering the country after being deported is a felony punishable by up to 20 years in federal prison.
