Robin Hayes wins NC GOP Chariman Post
Hayes became the deciding vote for CAFTA in 2005.
North Carolina Republicans have elected former U.S. Rep. Robin Hayes as the leader they hope will keep the party's momentum going in 2011.
State Republican Party executive director Russell Peck said Hayes was chosen by the executive committee on the first ballot. Peck did not know what the final tally was.
Hayes won over three other candidates to succeed Tom Fetzer who decided to leave the post five months before his two-year term expires.
The winner could run for re-election for a two-year term in June."We have decided man doesn't need a backbone any more; to have one is old-fashioned. Someday we're going to slip it back on." - William Faulkner

He was bribed by Bush II who threatened to pull funding from an important highway project in his district.
On the bright side, Hayes knew CAFTA was wrong, so he's not a free trade traitor at heart. Perhaps he will help our party to elect candidates who are real Republicans who support secure borders and trade protection so we never have another Bush Globalist in the White House or another Free Trade Traitor in any of our legislatures bribing each other to sell out our country.
I hope so anyway, and we all must be diligent and vigilant to make sure the leaders in the Republican Party know that we will not tolerate any more of this globalism in our party, not one dime, not one job, not one word, nada, zip, zero.A Nation Without Borders Is Not A Nation - Ronald Reagan
