Six People Arrested Following Chase Through Donna

All Six Crossed Into The U.S. Illegally

DONNA -A tip from a citizen led to the arrest of six illegal crossers on Saturday.

The concerned citizen called the Border Patrol after noticing a group of men loading into a black Mazda on Tower Road.

Agents tried to stop the vehicle, but it sped off.

A Helicopter was called in to help search for the suspects north of Val Verde Road.

All six were caught. They are being processed for deportation.

I'm always thrilled to see illegals get deported, however, my enthusiasm is dulled considerably when I consider the current state of our border security. Most of these guys will probably be back next week.

It is very discouraging. But we also want to keep hope live and encourage citizens to report what they believe is illegal behavior by illegal aliens. We just need state and local law enforcement involved so all citizens would need to do is call 911, since we're too far form the border to call in Border Patrol in most of the country where most of them actually are now.

Any good guesses how long "processed for deportation " will take. I think they even look for qualifying them for staying. If the are qualified for "refugee" status they are not going anywhere, they will be giving all the bennies. Only if criminal records exist will they be deported. If not refuges, I think they still get a court date, a kiss on the cheek as they depart with, "Please, attend court."
