Spanish Speakers, Bad Students And Fear Define The DNC Immigration Segment

PHILADELPHIA — The Democratic National Convention devoted a segment of its Monday night schedule to illegal immigration, which featured a speaker who didn’t speak English, chants in Spanish, and a little girl crying.

“Keeping Families Together,” was the name of the portion and started with a video of a young Hispanic girl, Karla Ortiz, crying over the worry that her parents will be deported. Ortiz, 11, then took the stage and pronounced that she is American, in Spanish. Her speech was mainly in English, however. But then her mother, Francisca, an illegal immigrant, took the stage.

The elder Ortiz did not speak English during her speech and pronounced the need for the immigration system to be fixed in order for families to be able to live out the “Sueño Americano (American Dream).”
Following Ortiz, illegal immigrant Astrid Silva took the stage. Silva was previously referenced by President Barack Obama in 2014 when he announced his executive action protecting millions from deportation.

Silva came to the U.S in a raft at age four and revealed that “after a journey of ten years I finally graduated from Nevada State College.” She finished off her speech saying that Hillary Clinton will fight for “nuestras familias.”

Illinois Democrat Rep. Luis Gutierrez finished off this portion of the convention giving a wide ranging speech that touched on many liberal issues. He called Trump a “bigot” and the speech ended with a “si se puede” chant.

Had to quit watching Luis G. His speech was hate speech! As for the child I hate it when politicians use children. The organizers should be charged with child abuse! The media should start mentioning that the children born here from illegal aliens are dual citizens of this country and their home country. Therefore families should not be torn apart because their parents won't take them back to their home countries. If they leave their children here when they are deported that is a form of child abuse too!

But if they take the children with them, they stop getting free benefits.
