Trump: Pope Francis ‘Doesn’t Understand’ Danger Of ‘Open Border’

    12:35 PM 02/11/2016
    Steve Guest

Donald Trump said Thursday Pope Francis is only going to stand on the border with Mexican migrants because he “doesn’t understand the problems our country has.”

Beginning Friday, Francis is scheduled to tour dangerous parts of Mexico and hold a Mass in Ciudad Juarez. “The Mass is being intentionally held right on the border so that it will be visible from both sides,” Vatican spokesman Father Federico Lombardi told Reuters.

“I think the pope is a very political person,” Trump said on Fox Business Network’s “Varney & Co.” “I think he doesn’t understand the problems our country has.”

“I don’t think he understands the danger of the open border that we have with Mexico, and I think Mexico got him to do it because Mexico wants to keep the border just the way it is because they’re making a fortune and we’re losing,” he continued.

Mexico continues to walk off with US manufacturing jobs too. They are probably smarting due to the falling oil prices, so we may get some "asylum" seekers from those areas too. How do we stop this? US companies move jobs there because the infrastructure has significantly improved. Yet when one industry slides, the people are going to start heading to the US. That's exactly what happened with the maquiladora workers---after the companies relocated for even cheaper labor supply. We just can't keep doing this.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) – In a move guaranteeing that 2,100 workers will be out of a job, two Indiana plants have plans to move operations to Mexico. The companies, who make products for heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC), will begin layoffs within the next two years.
Carrier Corp. said it would shutter its Indianapolis plant employing 1,400 workers and move its manufacturing to Mexico. The plant's workers would be laid off over three years starting in 2017.
United Technologies Electronic Controls (UTEC) also announced Wednesday that it will move its Huntington manufacturing operations to a new plant in Mexico, costing the northeastern Indiana city 700 jobs by 2018. Those workers make microprocessor-based controls for the HVAC and refrigeration industries.
Carrier Corp. and UTEC are both units of Hartford, Connecticut-based United Technologies Corp.
Carrier's president of North American HVAC systems and services, Chris Nelson, said the company is closing the Indianapolis plant in response to "the continued migration of the HVAC industry to Mexico." He said that migration has included the company's suppliers and competitors.
United Steelworkers president Chuck Jones said Carrier's move is disgraceful considering that it has been in Indianapolis since the early 1950s. He said the 1,400 affected workers are scared.
"There are a lot of questions and people don't know whether it'll affect their benefits and pension," Jones told the Indianapolis Star. "Our feeling is all the retirement benefits and whatnot are still in effect."
Carrier's residential HVAC headquarters and engineering organization are slated to remain in Indianapolis.
Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett issued an executive order Wednesday to convene local, state, and federal resources to assist workers who will lose their jobs. In a statement, he called the company's announcement "without warning and incredibly disappointing."
Alex Housten, UTEC's managing director, told WANE-TV the company will work with employees and union officials to manage the 700 layoffs that will accompany the closure of the plant in Huntington, about 20 miles southwest of Fort Wayne.
"We are aware of the effect on our employees and the community, making this a difficult decision," said Housten, adding that the move to Mexico "is the best way for us to remain competitive."

This "pope" is very disappointing as a leader of a major religious organization. His statement of Europe being like a grandmother that can no longer reproduce is APPALLING! He is excusing/promoting the muslim takeover of EU & the south of the border takeover of our USA.

He is part of the globalist agenda and it is sacrilegious.

Trump: Pope doesn't understand US-Mexico immigration issue

    Published February 12, 2016

Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump has a message for Pope Francis: Stay in your lane.

Trump called out the pope during a recent Fox Business Network interview, saying the pontiff didn’t fully comprehend the immigration challenges between the U.S. and Mexico.

“So I think the pope is a very political person and I think that he doesn’t understand the problems our country has,” Trump said.

Trump added he didn’t think the pope “understands the danger of the open border we have with Mexico.”

He added, “And I think Mexico got him to do it because Mexico wants to keep the border just the way it is because they’re making a fortune and we’re losing.”

Trump has vowed for months to build a wall along the border with Mexico – and make Mexico pay for it. All along, he's made combating illegal immigration a centerpiece of his presidential campaign, claiming credit for kickstarting the debate which now features heavily in the GOP primary race.

But the pope has gently, but clearly, weighed in on the immigration debate in America, and the heated rhetoric on the issue.

In his address to Congress last September, Pope Francis urged lawmakers not to be “fearful of foreigners” and reminded them that many are “descended from immigrants.”

Pope Francis heads to Mexico Friday for a one-week trip.

Among other things, the pontiff, the child of immigrants himself, is expected to address Mexico’s immigration problem.

Trump calls Pope Francis a 'very political person who doesn't understand' America's immigration problem

U.S. Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump is not pleased with Pope Francis' plan to stand with migrants at the U.S.-Mexican border on Friday, saying the head of the Roman Catholic Church "doesn't understand" America's immigration problem.

Speaking to Fox Business Network on Thursday as reported by Newsmax, Trump described Pope Francis as a "very political person" as the pontiff is set to begin his first official visit to Mexico on Friday.

"I don't think he understands the danger of the open border that we have with Mexico, and I think Mexico got him to do it. Because Mexico wants to keep the border just the way it is because they are making a fortune and we are losing," Trump said.

Trump once expressed admiration for the 79-year-old pontiff, even suggesting he would have liked to have had him on his reality TV show "Celebrity Apprentice," CBN News reported.
