What’s is really going on at the Texas-Mexico border?

On Tuesday a congressman admitted at least 10 ISIS rebels have been apprehended trying to cross into Texas from Mexico. Yesterday the Department of Homeland Security denied the claim.

A border patrol agent told the Examiner Wednesday evening that he knew of at least four ISIS insurgents that have been captured this past week. “There could be more,” he said. “All I know is we (the border patrol agents) know what we see and do, even if the Feds don’t want to acknowledge it.”

“We have stepped up our searches on vehicles, under, over and all-around because we believe they may be trying to bring in explosive bombs and devices,” the agent said. “Why would we be so cautious if the possibility was not there?”

“We all know who we have captured,” he continued. “As much as they want it quiet, you can’t keep this kind of information a secret very long. We have families here.”

Republican Representative Duncan Hunter told Fox News this week that “at least 10 ISIS fighters” have been caught on the Texas-Mexico border and attributed his information from Customs and Border Agents. "There's nobody talking about it,” Rep. Hunter stated. “If you really want to protect Americans from ISIS, you secure the southern border. It's that simple...They caught them at the border; therefore we know that ISIS is coming across the border. If they catch five or ten of them then you know there's going to be dozens more that did not get caught by the border patrol."

Despite rumors to the contrary, as recent as September 17, 2014, the FBI and Homeland Security denied any substantial evidence and intelligence indicating of any known terrorist attacks planned on the United States.
But last Sunday, FBI Director James Comey confirmed that the U.S. is preparing for a forthcoming attack by terrorists, according to an interview on CBS’s “60 Minutes” program. Comey specified the Khorasan Group, who are known to be directly connected to al Qaeda in Syria, have been preparing an attack on the U.S.
“Khorasan was working and may still be working on an effort to attack the United States or our allies, and looking to do it very, very soon,” Comey stated. “I can’t sit here and tell you whether it’s their plan is tomorrow or three weeks or three months from now.”

“Given our visibility, we know they’re serious people, bent on destruction,” Comey said. “And so we have to act as if it’s coming tomorrow.”

In September, two men, one with direct knowledge of Mexican cartel operations and the other an informer to law enforcement intelligence with ties to the Muslim community in south central Texas, told the Examiner they believed there is a potential danger of foreign terrorists entering the U.S. from Mexico. Both men, who are not mentioned by their real names for security reasons, have been reliable sources of information in the past.

“I know that warriors, or military types, from the Middle East have been coming into Texas through our Mexico border for months with the intent to do some harm to Americans,” claimed Tony, who was born in the Middle East and is now a U.S. citizen. “There is no doubt they traded weapons and paid cartels large amounts of money to help with entree by way of their smuggling routes, operations and protection.”

“Yes, these Islamic guys teach and train the cartels different tactics of warfare and how to use the weapons,” agreed Carlos, a 30-something former cartel gang member who still has family members involved with Mexican gangs. “The one thing they have in common is they cut heads off and hang people to try and scare people and force their ways on people.”

Carlos indicated that the intent was to move as much control, people and resources into the U.S. to “make things easier for their drug and smuggling” operations.

“They use money to buy up politicians, policemen, border agents, and businesses across the (Texas side) border so they can get their drugs, prostitutes, and whatever they want in-and-out quicker and safer,” Carlos continued. “This makes it more easy if someone, like from Pakistan or Syria or wherever wants to come to the United States, they can pay the cartels to do that.”

In the 60 Minutes interview, Comey said that terrorist networks in Syria are a creation of “the metastasis of al Qaeda” and identified their two major groups, al Nusra and the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS). Both have been targets of the recent bombings lead by U.S. forces in the area according to various news sources.
“There are more and more whispers and meetings and Middle Eastern talk in this (South Central Texas) area and within the Islamic community’s leadership about something going down,” claimed Tony. “And I am afraid, very afraid it is not going to be good for America.”

Even Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman General Martin Dempsey warned as late as August that the Mexican border was a ripe and direct risk for terrorist action to the U.S.

"The congressman was conveying what he knows -- and what he was told. It makes sense that the left hand of DHS doesn't know what the right hand is doing -- it's been that way for a long time and we don't expect that to change," Joe Kasper, a spokesman for Rep. Hunter, stated.

Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson has been sidestepping rumors and field reports about the Mexico border for months, but admitted to Fox News last week that there was information that four men with “alleged terror connections had been seized.”

Earlier this summer, Texas Senator John Cornyn (R), was particularly critical of the White House’s handling of the southern U.S. Border as thousands of immigrants poured into country.

“If the message is that America’s door is open to anybody and everyone who wants to come here, people are going to flood in,” Cornyn said. “In this case some of the most vulnerable that you can imagine.”
Cornyn blamed President Obama’s immigration policies, particularly his lack of enforcement on the border. He admitted that he had no idea what Obama planned to deal with what he described as a “humanitarian crisis.”
“We are processing hundreds of undocumented immigrants with various diseases that are so bad some of our agents are getting sick,” the same Border Patrol Agent in South Texas said at the time, about the illnesses that were being brought into the U.S. “We are not sure what the federal government thinks they are up to, or what their intention is, but these diseases could spread across the country.”

The agent, under the condition of anonymity, told the Examiner that although publicly the Department of Homeland Security may not admit it, the agents “are becoming increasingly concerned as more of us are contacting these diseases.”

“I’m hopeful that they will wake up and listen to the American people before it’s too late,” the agent said. “We know that many of them are criminals but we don’t have the time or resources to do anything about it.”

“What worries us most, and no one is talking about it, is that they (immigrants) are being transported to other destinations and being released,” the agent continued. “It’s not funny, but it’s a joke to tell them they have to report back in 15 days. Who seriously believes they are going to turn themselves back in?”

“We’ve been told that in Texas over a thousand undocumented immigrants are being processed each day,” sited the agent. “We don’t have the time or the resources to screen for diseases. All we know is that some of us are getting sick too and we are giving it to our own children. Thank goodness school is out or it would continue to get worse.”

It was only a matter of time before ISIS showed up.
