NEAR EAGLE PASS - Border Patrol agents in Del Rio had to make a water rescue this week when a young girl tried to cross the Rio Grande.
The 17-year-old girl was found stuck on an island in the middle of the river Tuesday after she lost her inner tube.
She was trying to cross the river near the Eagle Pass Port of Entry.
Border Patrol agents were able to rescue the young girl who is a Honduran national.
She was processed as an unaccompanied alien child.

Lots of illegal crossers now that the governments of of El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala are getting loans based on how much money their illegals send home for the US.
