LAREDO, TEXAS (KGNS) - Early Christmas morning, border patrol agents apprehended 11 people at a home on suspicion of immigration violations.

The Laredo Police Department says the response came after a neighbor reported fighting at the home on La Plaza loop around seven in the morning.

Police say they called Border Patrol after they suspected the home was an immigrant stash house.

Border Patrol says one of the people taken into custody was a U.S. Citizen.

Agents say they did also apprehend children.

Neighbors complained that the house has been a constant source of trouble.

One resident says he's called law enforcement at least 15 times.

"Usually that's what happens in these types of situations is that they're being held against their will. I don't know if that's the case with this particular issue but usually they try to hold them for longer, they try to extract ransom at times from the family members who are waiting for their delivery", said Joe Baeza.

Tonight at six KGNS News reporter Christian von Preysing tells us more about what neighbors were saying about this home.
