ICE agents apprehend 11 people in southwest Houston operation

HOUSTON (FOX 26) - U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents have taken a total of 11 people into custody following a series of sting operations in the Houston area.

Five undocumented immigrants were found in one apartment unit and six others were inside a second unit at a building on Bellaire Boulevard near Ranchester Drive in the Asia Town district.

The sting operation was targeting the owners of the apartment building who were employing the apprehended people through a temporary job agency.

The group that was taken into custody performed multiple types of jobs including construction projects.

13 ICE sting operations were taking place throughout the Houston area on Thursday.
