MCALLEN — The United Nations said there are more Central Americans headed to the Rio Grande Valley.

Central American families that are caught and released by Border Patrol end up at the McAllen bus station. Luis Guerrero started volunteering at Catholic Charities two years ago.

“I’m an ex-firefighter. I always liked to help people,” he said.

The people Guerrero helps are from Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador and other Central American countries.
Guerrero said he’s seen change lately.

“We used to have one bus. Now, sometimes, we have two buses in the afternoon coming in,” he said. “You're talking about 99 people in the afternoons."

Jerson Ballrillas, 17, is a new arrival from El Salvador. He said he felt relieved when he crossed the river into the Valley
    .
The UN said El Salvador and Honduras have had an increase in violence and insecurity.

Ballrillas said before he left, he wore a new pair of shoes to school. Gang members told him to take them off.

"They told me I couldn't wear those shoes because it looked like theirs,” Ballrillas said.

Guerrero keeps hearing the same stories over and over. People tell him criminals want to use their children for prostitution or to sell drugs.

“We’re going to be busy for a while,” he said.

Guerrero thinks the situation at the McAllen bus station may be the new normal.

Come off of it! This UN thing is all rigged. Just read posts on how much money we are sending there to do all sorts of things. They are paying thousands to smugglers - how bad can it be? Do they not have straight forward citizens to right their countries?

Why would we want a bunch of cowards her on the dole? Not cowards when it comes to killing, drug smuggling gang members. Many of those sneaking across the border are exactly that and are full of diseases, invasive larvae, inbred schizos - o gives them smart phones fly, bus them into your neighborhood to sit next to your child at school FOR FREE.

UN members are the ultimate globalists and every nation is caving to their demands. Let us get out of this commitment to them. They care not @ the diseases & crime we are exposed to - same with the "refugees" forced here by the UN, 98% muslim from jihadist countries with 30% TB or latent TB plus other diseases. ABSURD - WE SHOULD NOT STAND FOR THIS! $20,000 to $450,000 medical costs EACH ONE. The UN is dictating to EU too and the head of the refugee program is a muslim.

Pa-leeze, somebody in our gov'ts & general public, get together brain power that will can add 2+2.
