    Unidentified Illegals Buried

Five died trying to cross into US

RIO GRANDE CITY - Five illegal immigrants were buried in unmarked graves in Rio Grande City.

The four men and one woman died last week, trying to cross the Rio Grande near Falcon Dam.

Investigators released photos of the clothes the five were wearing. But they still weren't able to identify the bodies, so the five received a pauper's burial.

The county paid for the funerals.

This wasn't the first or last case like this. A medical examiner from another city has numerous John and Jane Does not to mention children who have no identification. I wish I recalled which city or state it was in. The story was printed in the Miami Herald.
