It has been known for some time that British intelligence runs terrorist operations and protects key terrorist assets.

In 2005, a terrorism expert and a former prosecutor for the Justice Department, John Loftus, revealed that the so-called mastermind of the 7/7 London bombings, Haroon Rashid Aswat, was a British intelligence asset.

Aswat associate Abu Hamza al-Masri, an influential cleric at the notorious Finsbury Park mosque in London, had a long and productive relationship with British intelligence. He worked with the Special Branch of the British Police and MI5. He told his aides that he was “beyond the reach of British law.”

In the 1990s, British intelligence paid al-Qaeda the equivalent of $160,000 to help fund an unsuccessful assassination attempt on Mu’ammar al-Qadhafi.

Anas al-Liby, a member of al-Muqatila, the group responsible for the failed assassination attempt, was given political asylum in Britain despite his connections to al-Qaeda.

MI5 also worked with key al-Qaeda figure Abu Qatada. Due to the protection afforded by British intelligence, Qatada was able to escape arrest after the terror attacks of September 11, 2001. His relationship with MI5 is confirmed by numerous sources, including Bisher al-Rawi, another supposedly radical Muslim who served as a translator for MI5 in its dealings with Qatada.

Following the attacks in New York and Washington, MI5 offered to spirit Qatada out of the country and help him reach Afghanistan.

Another leading imam in Britain, Omar Bakri Mohammed, has also admitted to working closely with British intelligence. “I think now we have something called public immunity,” he bragged in 2001, following the 9/11 attacks.

The “double agent” claim is especially deceiving. It is an exhaustively documented fact that the CIA created the illusion of a powerful and threatening terrorist group from remnants of the Afghan Mujahideen, the cobbled together force responsible for evicting the Soviets from Afghanistan with substantial help from Saudi Arabia, Pakistan’s intelligence service, the ISI, and the United States.

Prior to the truth being swept into the memory hole, the BBC and others reported that Osama bin Laden was trained by the CIA. Osama “not only invested some of his personal financial resources to fund the combat brigades, he also received military and financial assistance from the intelligence services of Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and the United States,” Forbes reported a few days after the 9/11 attacks, before the official narrative had a chance to overpower and sanitize reality.

ABC News reported that the CIA had financed – at the tune of $3 billion – Osama and the Mujaheddin, but this uncomfortable historical fact was scrubbed from the servers of the prized Operation Mockingbird asset.

In fact, al-Qaeda is not even a terrorist group, but is instead a propaganda campaign and carefully devised bogeyman, as Pierre-Henry Bunel, a former agent for French military intelligence, told Wayne Madsen in 2005.

"The truth is, there is no Islamic army or terrorist group called Al Qaida. And any informed intelligence officer knows this. But there is a propaganda campaign to make the public believe in the presence of an identified entity representing the ‘devil’ only in order to drive the ‘TV watcher’ to accept a unified international leadership for a war against terrorism. The country behind this propaganda is the US and the lobbyists for the US war on terrorism are only interested in making money,” Bunel explains.

The late British Foreign Secretary Robin Cook also said al-Qaeda is a farce. He explained how the name “al-Qaeda” referred to a Mujahideen database used in Afghanistan (in Arabic, “al-Qaeda” is the base). "In the mid-1980s, Al Qaida was a database located in computer and dedicated to the communications of the Islamic Conference’s secretariat,” Cook told the House of Commons shortly before he died.

The “double agent” farce now dominating headlines is merely more propaganda nonsense. There is no al-Qaeda, not as commonly assumed and continually claimed by the government and the establishment media, but instead a loose conglomeration of largely inept and ineffectual terrorists and patsies who are controlled by the CIA, British intelligence, the Mossad, Pakistani intelligence, and other statist entities.

Congress has now called for a three ring circus investigation into the “leak” that supposedly broke the CIA double agent story to the media.

“The tale of high-risk intrigue and stealth conjured up a script from a Hollywood thriller, but members of Congress and intelligence veterans were angered by the disclosures,” Agence France-Presse reported on Thursday, and “denounced leaks to media organizations that revealed how the CIA disrupted an al-Qaida plot through a spy who had infiltrated the terror group, saying the release of such details could jeopardize sensitive intelligence work."

Instead, it will be exploited to further restrict information on the true nature of the phony war on manufactured terror and will be used as a predicate to enact legislation that will criminalize whistleblowers and truth-seekers.

Hey I just thought maybe this building is an illusion and it’s made out of Lego Blocks!!

False flags have now become almost a monthly affair and sometime one wonders if they are insulting the level of our intelligence to see through their lies and deceit.

I woke up this morning to see this on going pathetic attempt to pull the wool over our eyes with the following headlines: “British played central role in foiled bomb operation.”

Oh come on you guys in the FBI, CIA, MI5/6 and Mossad why don’t you call it a day and fully understand we are on to you all and no longer accept your ridiculous flights of fancy!

We already know your previous attempt to try and fool us with you last underwear bomb that had flown almost half way around the world nestled between the legs of some non existent Al Qaeda sympathiser, who was apprehending in Detroit onboard a Delta Airlines flight, by some high flying superman who literally flew over a pile of passenger seats…….boy oh boy what fantasy……if this is the metal that all of the above are made of then God Help this country and the US!

The report even gave reference to the last underwear bomber and went on to say: U.S. officials revealed publicly on Monday that AQAP tried to arm a suicide bomber with a non-metallic device that was an upgraded version of an “underwear bomb” that was carried on to a Detroit-bound plane on Christmas Day 2009, but failed to detonate and that the latest plot was foiled by the CIA and allied foreign intelligence services, without identifying the allies.

British authorities put heavy pressure on the Obama administration not to disclose Britain’s role in the investigation……..well Mr. MI5 do you really think it would be kept secret when this whole charade was invented with every intention of pulling you into the fray. I have to say that the CIA and yourselves have now taken the level and nature of false flags to a new height of almost qualifying as participants in a Christmas Pantomime!

We now have the entire theatrical cast of this soap opera linking this false flag to the other “not so high tech” underpants false flag and going back even further to the false flag (UPS Ink Jet bomb) that just so happened to have arrived at my local airport. I must admit the UPS was rather close to home and having worked at this airport for many many years I knew immediately that this was truly a scam!! I even wrote to the Airport Directory expressing my disgust at this pathetic play acting, knowing full well that what actually was a none event was seized upon as an opportunity to push the “War on Terror “ even further……what happened that day can never excuse the key actors that deceived the British Public.

This Shakespearian act continued with the following comment – The undercover investigation reportedly involved MI5 and MI6, and the foiled plot ended with the explosive device being delivered to the FBI. Its experts are examining it to see if it could have passed through security and been taken on to a plane………just hold it there one minute……if I get this right this latest figment of the imagination was even more sophisticated than the last one!!!

……so how come the last not so sophisticated device had travelled via so many international airports, including the security at Amsterdam and ended up in Detroit……sorry guys you have lied so many times before you are now totally confused……..how can so many Intel organisations be full of dumb f……

Now it gets even better as they laid even more crap on us by saying – The spy reportedly infiltrated a terror group in Yemen in a rare coup for Western agencies. The individual is believed to have grown up in Europe where he was apparently radicalised. He was subsequently “turned” and recruited by Saudi agents last year, it was claimed. The reports were neither being confirmed nor denied in the UK. The Obama administration had reportedly been under heavy pressure not to disclose the role of British authorities in the investigation!!!!!

The director of National Intelligence has opened an “internal review” of US intelligence agencies to determine whether there were leaks of classified information related to operation, while the FBI is conducting a separate criminal investigation. Defence Secretary Leon Panetta , a former CIA director, said: “I am fully in favour of a full and thorough investigation of this matter.” “When these leaks take place, I can’t tell you how much they damage our ability to be able to pursue our intelligence efforts,” Mr Panetta told reporters at the Pentagon.

Well Mr. Panetta you are not exactly all that good looking and anyone with an ounce of normal intelligence (which clearly you do not have) can see the deceit in not only your face but in your body language……..but hey…..you yourself worked in the CIA so you were well trained in the art of deception!!
It is interesting that one expert believes that the current full body scanners should have been able to spot such anomaly and a further pat down would have proven any doubts…..I also note the comment that the scanners have not been deployed in all airports across the US and are in very limited use elsewhere………is this your sales and promotion pitch to sell more of these very high tech and very expensive units……..they say that war’s are good for arms sales and clearly chasing an imaginary Al Qaeda is also good for security equipment sales!

It is now clear that the US and UK Governments and our associated secret services are now replacing the long gone Bin Laden (who incidentally was not killed last year but died in the military hospital in Rawalpindi on the 14^th of December 2001) with a new leader and number one Al Qaeda terrorist they call Ibrahim Hassan al-Asiri…..believe me we are now going to see a massive build up of attacks in Yemen, followed by a plea from the UN on an apparent severe humanitarian crisis that will yet again lead to the same old “Bullshit Regime Change” as they go after another false Bin Laden………come on world when are you going to wake up?

What with all of this and Obama promoting gay rights and same sex marriages we could well see the emergence of bombs being carried up someone’s anus which according to the CIA has already been carried out by Hassan al-Asiri’s brother……can you seriously believe that!

Let’s take another look at this other CIA/MI5 fantasy which they again gave reference too as being the “Ink Jet Bomb”……..I guess this adds new meaning to the term “Explosive Writing”!!

We woke up on Friday the 29th of October 2010 to the following headlines:
Cargo plane bomb alert at British airport

Counter terrorism detectives are inspecting a suspicious package found at a British airport, which has grounded planes in the United States.

At first the word was that a suspicious parcel had been detected after officials raised concerns during a routine checks at the East Midlands Airport (EMA) at 0330 this morning and that the area had been isolated and the staff evacuated. During the next few hours it was revealed there had been a tip off from Yemen that had caused this concern.

As in any operation of this size so much false information was fed into the system.
Later an official announcement was made that there was no explosive material found. This was announced on both BBC and on ITN they said that the tests proved negative.
Then we had the conflicting stories that the aircraft had arrived at the East Midlands Airport from Yemen en route to Chicago which obviously was incorrect.

Staff at the Freight Distribution Centre said that they were evacuated soon after they had found the package at 0330 but were allowed back in at 1000 when the Distribution Centre was re opened.
So initially everything appeared to be more or less routine and standard procedures were carried out as at most international airports.
I myself have much experience in this area having worked in a senior position at EMA during the Northern Ireland conflict and was also Security Manager at a large International Airport overseas.

The cartridge on the left was the first one they displayed and the second we saw later in the day a totally different cartridge……..pity the experts don’t pay attention to detail LOL!!!!

Why is this fireman spraying the container….the last thing you would want to do with any bomb that may contain electric circuitry!!!……ok so he was washing down his car maybe! 11

When carrying out Intel or Reconnaissance one has to pay attention to detail, unfortunately our MI5 must have been wearing very dark sunglasses this day. All aircraft and containers with potential bombs onboard are moved to a very isolated part of the airport. No one (apart from those involved) are allowed anywhere near the bomb and certainly no aircraft is allowed to pass nearby…….ooops one can see on the right a fully loaded passenger aircraft taxing by at close quarters……..oh well I guess this could be classified as just another Irish Joke!

I can see from events that this followed its normal path until the package had been inspected and that the all clear was given. What also confirms that the findings were negative was the fact that the aircraft was allowed to continue on its journey to the USA. Had this been a genuine incident the aircraft would have been taken to an isolated part of the airport and contained for further search and forensic examination…..this was not the case with this particular package.

The UPS aircraft had in actual fact arrived on its flight from Cologne in Germany en route to Chicago. What happened after the aircraft had left was basically a well orchestrated fiasco that was hyped up from the US end.
There is no doubt some exchange of words from the President/Homelands Security/CIA to our government and Secret Security Services caused the situation to be spiced up. Maybe the way it was planned didn’t work out too well and things had gone wrong……it’s hard to create a play unless all the actors know their lines!

Suddenly out of the blue it was announced that the package had been re examined and in actual fact did include a detonator and the explosive material PETN.

The hype then really took off when it was announced that this material is typical of the type used by Al Qaeda and reference was then given to the Christmas attempted bombing in Detroit….which incidentally was yet another false flag.

Theresa May the Home Secretary was quick to jump on the bandwagon no doubt after her brief from the US that this in actual fact was and explosive device. A rather unique term was used for the first time, when she described the following: “I can confirm that the device was viable and could have exploded.”

What followed after this statement was typical of a False Flag cover-up where they need time to get their stories right and matching their counterparts over in the US.

It was also interesting that President Obama was extremely quick to announce this threat; even though the Police and Authorities had already made a statement that no explosives were found.
As the day unfolded and also the next day (Saturday) the story started to come together as both sides of the pond rehearsed their lines. During the evening and on Sunday the plot thickened when it was announced that it had been the Saudi Secret Service who had tipped off MI6 on the existence of suspect parcels on these flights (UPS East Midlands Airport and FedEx Dubai Airport) Also on Sunday it was announced that a young female student in Yemen had been arrested, who had dispatched the packages from Sanaa.
So let’s look at this charade from start to finish and explain why none of this really makes sense:
1. All packages are given an exclusive bar code which is used for tracing a consignment and for its progress. One would assume that if the Saudi Secret Service was responsible for the tip off why wasn’t this information passed to airport staff in Yemen. However, we will give the benefit of doubt and ask then why wasn’t this action carried out in Cologne when the package was loaded onto the UPS aircraft?
2. When the package was located at EMA and was inspected, tested and given the all clear, why did Obama and the US Authorities hype up the story?
3. It was also confirmed that this was the case as the aircraft continued its journey, had there been a genuine scare the aircraft would have been secured and isolated.
4. The Distribution Centre that had been closed for the duration of the investigation and re opened
5. Why was the Distribution Centre again shut down some four hours later?
6. Had the indication been that it was a genuine bomb threat then things would have been somewhat different at the EMA with a higher level of alert and flights would have been delayed/cancelled etc but rather the opposite occurred.
7. Photographs were shown of Forensic Officer on the tarmac with the UPS containers with commercial aircraft passing close by to take off……a definite no no in a real bomb threat!
8. The pictures shown on TV of the actual Ink Jet Cartridge (two different shots) were not the same cartridge (oops).
9. Another statement was made that this explosive material had not been found by the sniffer dogs as it is a rather difficult substance for dogs to detect…..rather strange as I understand that PETN is very easy for a dog to detect, even when only a few parts per Billion…..yes I said Billion! Tests were carried out with only 30gms?

10. That the packages were address to Synagogues in Chicago (that was the icing on the cake).

Then the hype picked up momentum over in the US with a spectacular display of UPS and FedEx aircraft being shown with many vehicles and masses of people around them….another no no when on high alert i.e. minimum staff for doing the job.
This was then followed by another coverage of a suspect package in New York Times Square…..one could see the area was cordoned off but within the cordon were masses of ordinary cops, police cars and the bomb disposal vehicle….another no no when on this level of alert…..most would have to remain outside of the cordon except for bomb disposal experts.
The headlines in the US were as you would expect…..all intended to spread fear into the hearts of all US Citizens:

Initial reports in the United States said a suspicious toner cartridge was found on a cargo plane that landed in London on a flight from Yemen bound for Chicago. This obviously was incorrect however it went on to say that “It has been claimed that tests found no traces of explosives.”

Finally there was the dramatic incident when an Emirates flight was escorted by US fighter aircraft when it was thought a suspect package could have be onboard.

In the UK it was announced as follows “Police evacuated a distribution centre at East Midlands Airport after a suspicious package was discovered in the early hours today” “And that officers announced there was no threat shortly before 10am but put cordons back up again at about 2pm.”

A police spokeswoman said: “The package is being re-examined as a precaution and as such the cordons that were originally put in place have been reinstated.

“This has meant that a freight distribution building and a number of offices have been closed together with internal airport roads – Beverley Road and Argosy Road.

“The airport continues to operate as normal and has been throughout.
It was interested to hear the comments of a lady who was waiting for a flight at EMA when she said “I’ve seen no police since I arrived, and it’s a really small airport so it would be quite obvious.” “As far as I know they haven’t cordoned off anything inside the airport building and I haven’t seen anything happening.”
As the early report confirmed that tests for explosives proved negative but concerns about similar devices sparked the alert across the Atlantic.
What is also interesting was when the authorities at EMA said “The package was examined this morning and found not to be suspicious. A cordon was put in place as a precautionary measure, but flights were not affected.
A spokeswoman said: “There are police around the cordon, at the cargo end of the airport, but there isn’t a big police presence here.”There have been no changes at all to the flight schedules.”

Finally we also have to keep in mind that Obama was actually carrying out a promotional tour in Chicago and any such incident is very good PR for him.
Then the issue that both packages were destined for two Synagogues in Chicago…..I am sure that really fired up the Zionist stance and views towards Islamic countries.

What could be more to the point is the issue of Yemen. When one looks at it from the Geo Political point of view Yemen, Gulf of Aden and Somalia is a prize much sort after by the US. The main features being natural resources and more to the point the all import trade corridors up through the Red Sea, Suez Canal and up into the Mediterranean.

The best “False Flag” statement throughout this entire charade was when the Leicestershire Police announced that the cartridge bomb was timed to go off some seven hours later!

The National Lawyers Guild, who is representing the activists, further claim that while their clients have been detained since Wednesday with law enforcement has still failed to produce any evidence to support their allegations.

Given the fact that the first two trials of Occupy Wall Street activists in New York ended up with the defendants being acquitted in court, after video in both cases proved the NYPD committed false arrests and then lied in court, it is entirely possible the police are once again making false accusations.
Did The FBI Foil Their Own Terror Plot (Again)?

It is no secret that the FBI repeatedly foils their own terror plots time and time again with the most recent example being the May Day terror plot which coincidentally targeted anarchist activists.

If the governments past history in every similar case is any indicator of the events that occurred in Chicago here is what we can expect to learn in the future:
1) The alleged terror plot was the brainchild of the FBI.
2) The FBI planted an agent within the ranks of the Occupy Protestors.
3) The agent then convinced other activists to go along with the FBI’s terror plot.

In legal terms this is an illegal practice known as entrapment and goes against the very foundations of our Constitution.

But as we have seen since the 9/11 terror attacks the Constitution and the Bill of Rights are now legacy ideas that have been declared obsolete so the government can protect us from the same bogey man they have created.

As we have seen over and over again US courts have ruled that National Security trumps entrapment and has let law enforcement repeatedly target Muslims in such entrapment schemes.

What is disturbing here is that the spying and targeting of Muslims with ties to the Middle east is now shifting to the targeting of the average US citizen who has done nothing more than engage in political discourse as permitted under the Constitution and encourage by our founding fathers.

The police openly admit they ‘infiltrated Occupy Chicago’ weeks before the raid so it is only a matter of time before we learn about entrapment plot.

In this case, they were conducting covert surveillance on 3 Black Bloc who came in from out of state to join the anit-NATO protests.

In my haste to write something timely about the triumphant return of Occupy Wall Street to the front lines of protest on May 1, I assumed that Fox Five New York and the NYPD were uniquely stupid as they colluded on a story about the possibility of Arab terrorists secreting bombs in their “cavities,” as the reporter referred to certain familiar orifices that are usually unmentioned on television. Fox Five led their 10:00 pm newscast with the story and I, in my cynicism, thought that only the minions of Rupert Murdoch could lead the news with an imaginary explosion of fecal matter and viscera on a day when Occupy Wall Street had tied up traffic all over Manhattan.

Boy, was I naive.

ABC, CBS, CNN, BBC, MSNBC, NPR, Wall Street Journal, Reuters, Guardian, Christian Science Monitor, Daily Mail, Los Angeles Times, Huffington Post and hordes of other corporate media also played up the imaginary explosions of fecal matter and viscera. My mistake was googling only “cavity bomb,” which was the intense focus of Fox Five. What I should have done was google “body bomb,” “implanted bomb,” “breast implant bomb” and “belly bomb.” Those kind of bombs were everywhere.

In a typical report on April 30, Diane Sawyer, solemn and furrowed, announced on ABC World News that as a nation we had reached the eve of the anniversary of Osama bin Laden’s assassination. “US authorities,” she said, were “studying a new terror threat tonight” and chief investigative correspondent Brian Ross would tell us of “heightened concern in the air and on the ground.”

Ross then reiterated that unnamed authorities were afraid of body bombs that would “target Americans.” The idea was “not far fetched” because “medical experts” said there was plenty of room in the gut for “surgically implanted explosives.”

“The surgeon would open the abdominal cavity and literally implant the explosive device in and amongst the internal organs,” said medical expert Dr. Mark Melrose, standing in front of a dark, ominous anatomical painting of the human gut.

“Right in there?” Ross asked incisively.

“Right in between the intestines, the liver, and the stomach,” said Melrose.

Then Ross showed a picture of a sullen, swarthy Arab terrorist-looking guy, Ibrahim al-Asiri, who was al Qaeda’s “master bomb maker” in Yemen. He was thought to be “designing body bombs with no metal parts to get past airport security.” John Brennan, “White House counter terrorism expert,” had that very day announced in a speech that al Qaeda in Yemen was “the greatest threat” to the US.

In the same speech, Brennan revealed that Osama bin Laden had died in despair because al Qaeda plots had resulted in “disaster after disaster.” Ross concluded that US authorities had “made adjustments in security screening to make it easier to spot a body bomb.”

In an accompanying article on the ABC News website, Ross got down and dirty with Fox, saying that Asiri had implanted a bomb in the “rectal cavity of his own brother for a suicide mission.”

All the articles and television reports were like that. They claimed there was “no imminent threat” and then claimed there was an imminent threat. They all claimed that al Qaeda was decimated, discredited, demoralized and decapitated, and thus was even more dangerous to the United States. Some articles claimed that “three doctors” were busy implanting, or were planning to implant, or were dead but had considered implanting Asiri’s nefarious masterworks in suicide bombers. Almost all reports urged “greater vigilance” without actually specifying how one should keep vigil for ass bombs. I mean, if some Islamofascist-looking guy at the airport asks me to put a bomb in my rectal cavity before I get on the plane, what should I do?

Okay, I’m not a chief investigative correspondent like Brian Ross. I don’t hang out in national security circles. I can, however, read the website of the Department of Homeland Security, which published an essay titled “Body Bombs: Is The Threat Commensurate with the Hype?” by Kerry Patton on July 12, 2011. Patton has been a “contractor” for various government agencies and is a contributor on security issues at Fox News and other rightwing entities. He teaches “terrorism, intelligence, and protection management courses” at Henley Putnam, an online university. His other writings indicate that he is an enthusiast for war with Iran.

So this guy, Kerry Patton, is a bona fide neocon. He has no reason to discount the threat of body bombs unless he really thinks they aren’t a threat. And that is what he thinks.

“If this threat truly exists, it is extremely scary and would be almost impossible to detect,” says Kerry. “The media, though, has said next to nothing about why such a method of attack is nearly impossible to carry out in the context of the sort of explosion that terrorists presumably are hoping body bombs will cause.”

Patton, who has consulted with actual bomb disposal technicians and Special Forces medics, says that most bombs have five parts: trigger, fuse, charge, power source for the trigger, and container.

Somehow Brian Ross, Dr. Melrose and the rest of the corporate media missed that information. It turns out that stuffing a trigger, fuse, charge, power source and container up somebody’s ass is a formidable job. Surgically implanting all those items in the midst of somebody’s intestines would be even more formidable. In both cases, you would have an extremely uncomfortable suicide bomber who be lucky if he could walk. And the implanter would need some rare containment material that would be inert both to the human body and the explosive. If the container leaked, the suicide bomber would: a) explode before his time; b) not explode at all, c) die of blood poisoning from the chemicals in the charge, or d) die from air pressure changes in the plane.

Patton further states that if you place a bomb in a swimming pool, even a very shallow pool for children, most of the explosive force is absorbed by the water, and human bodies are much tougher and denser than water. So if you stick a bomb up your ass, get past airport security, and are able to ignite a device deep inside your body, how likely is it that you will knock the plane out of the air? The bomb will be limited in size, and it will be surrounded by your pelvis, internal organs, fat and skin. Any explosive force unabsorbed by your body is going to leave by the same route it arrived, in which case you will demolish your seat cushion and be an unpleasant surprise to your neighbors. But your chances of downing an airliner? Zip.

Do any of these White House counter terrorism experts so favored in the corporate media know anyone at the Department of Homeland Security?

Let us now consider the entire history of human beings on the planet Earth. In all that time, if my computer research is to be trusted, two people have had bombs implanted on their person for the purpose of killing somebody else. According to Wikipedia, one of the two implantees was a dead child in the 2008 movie “The Hurt Locker,” which concerned a bomb squad in Iraq. I tried to watch the movie twice on cable and gave up after five minutes, so I don’t know the exact circumstances, but I have to wonder why anyone would bother “surgically implanting” a bomb in a corpse in the middle of a war, when the only reason to use surgical implantation would be to get plastic explosives into a secured area like an airport. In a battle situation, you would just throw a grenade or leave a booby trap under the dead body. In any case, “The Hurt Locker” was fictional for a reason. It didn’t actually happen.

The only other example of bomb implanting is the aforementioned brother of Al Qaeda‘s “master bomb maker” Ibrahim al-Asiri. The brother, Abdullah al-Asiri, is not fictional, but nobody knows quite what happened to him. The Western media have gleefully reported that the bomb was implanted in his ass by his own brother, while the Saudi media are not clear on the matter. As the Saudis reported the incident, Abdullah ended up as a puddle of protoplasm when he attempted to assassinate Prince Muhammad bin Nayef, head of Saudi security, in August 2009. The bomb might have been: a) in Abdullah’s colon; b) surgically implanted in his abdomen; c) in his underwear; or d) in the usual belt of explosives used by suicide bombers. Forensics is an inexact science when it comes to puddles of protoplasm.

The circumstantial evidence for implantation is a little thin. Abdullah had been offered a cup of coffee before meeting Nayef. He turned down the coffee, and the theory is apparently that he didn’t want to consume anything with even a slight laxative effect for fear of premature bomb drop.

In the actual meeting with Nayef, Abdullah reportedly offered him his cell phone on the pretext that Nayef would discuss the Saudi amnesty plan with other Al Qaeda terrorists back in Yemen. This, the Saudi press theorized, was the signal for said terrorists in Yemen that Abdullah was close enough to Nayef and they should dial the number of the cell phone trigger for the bomb in Abdullah’s colon. The resulting explosion nicked two of Nayef’s fingers, which required some bandaging, and that was it for injuries to the target.

The wounded fingers are a little odd. I’m speculating that Abdullah must have read the Department of Homeland Security website about the severe limitations of ass bombs and was trying to maximize the lethality of his weapon by dropping his pants, turning around and aiming his sphincter at Nayef. Nayef then raised his hand as if to shield himself, exclaiming, “No! Don’t shoot!”, and at that moment the terrorists in Yemen speed dialed the ass bomb. The explosion, now having directionality, ejected the cell phone trigger and other bomb parts with sufficient force to injure the royal hand.

That’s just what I’m guessing. The most interesting part of the story is that Saudi Arabia had an amnesty program for terrorists. Al Qaeda reportedly wanted to assassinate Nayef because so many members had left the group for Nayef’s amnesty deal. Imagine that. You’re a young terrorist and you have a choice between staying in a group that wants to put a bomb up your ass for no practical purpose whatever, or you could join a government that promises you a house, a job, a chance to watch your children grow up, and all you have to do is swear on the Koran that you’ll refrain from terrorism in the future.

Do any of these White House counter terrorism experts so favored in the corporate media know anyone in Saudi Arabia?

Yeah, it’s completely impractical. We could never tell our soldiers in Afghanistan to put down their guns and start building homes and schools and hospitals for the Taliban. If we offered the Taliban jobs and a chance to watch their children grow up, we’d be creating a nanny state. The Russians tried that in Afghanistan, and look what happened to them.

As it is, the United States has had a week of stories in the corporate media about Islamic ass bombing. In all of human history, there is one guy who may or may not have put a bomb in his own ass in hopes in killing someone, and it didn’t work. Even if the few dozen remaining members of Al Qaeda all decided to put a bomb in their ass, they would be a threat only to themselves.

What purpose, then, could all these stories about Islamic ass bombers possibly have? Well, the Transportation Security Administration wants to put some fear back in airline passengers, who are on the verge of rebellion about airport pat-downs and radioactive scanning machines. And the two major parties want to put some fear back in the voters, who are on the verge of rebellion about having a choice--again--between two empty suits who lie for Wall Street.

Finally, compare all the stories in the corporate media on the imminent threat of Islamic ass bombing with all the stories about the recently released report by the AFL-CI0 on workplace deaths. According the Department of Labor, 13 Americans die every day on the job, which came to 4690 in 2010. Another 50,000 die from occupational diseases. Tens of thousands of other Americans die from water pollution, air pollution, dangerous products and job-induced despair.

There were almost no stories on all those deaths.

Hypothetically, what if all those work-related deaths were caused by a tiny terrorist group that was motivated by criminal indifference, active malice and overwhelming greed?

Hypothetically, lets call this terrorist group the “1%.” Suppose further that the corporate media gave an enormous amount of time and space to the non-existent imminent threat of Islamic ass bombing and no time or space to the 1% killing tens of thousands of Americans every year. Who would you say, hypothetically, the corporate media was working for?

The New York Times points out that two-thirds of the most frightening post-9/11 plans for attacks on American soil were stings orchestrated by the government agents. Typically, a bumbling, gullible, down on their luck “potential terrorist” with no history of violence is coaxed into some sort of involvement and then arrested, followed by news media trumpeting the “narrowly foiled plot”:

The United States has been narrowly saved from lethal terrorist plots in recent years — or so it has seemed. A would-be suicide bomber was intercepted on his way to the Capitol; a scheme to bomb synagogues and shoot Stinger missiles at military aircraft in Newburgh, N.Y.; and a fanciful idea to fly explosive-laden model planes into the Pentagon and the Capitol hatched in Massachusetts.
But all these dramas were facilitated by the F.B.I., whose undercover agents and informers posed as terrorists offering a dummy missile, fake C-4 explosives, a disarmed suicide vest and rudimentary training. Suspects naïvely played their parts until they were arrested.
Typically, the stings initially target suspects for pure speech — comments to an informer outside a mosque, angry postings on Web sites, e-mails with radicals overseas — then woo them into relationships with informers, who are often convicted felons working in exchange for leniency, or with F.B.I. agents posing as members of Al Qaeda or other groups.
Some targets have previous involvement in more than idle talk. But others seem ambivalent, incompetent and adrift, like hapless wannabes looking for a cause that the informer or undercover agent skillfully helps them find. Take the Stinger missile defendant James Cromitie, a low-level drug dealer with a criminal record that included no violence or hate crime, despite his rants against Jews.
“Only the government could have made a ‘terrorist’ out of Mr. Cromitie, whose buffoonery is positively Shakespearean in its scope,” said Judge Colleen McMahon, sentencing him to 25 years. She branded it a “fantasy terror operation” but called his attempt “beyond despicable” and rejected his claim of entrapment.
The judge’s statement was unusual, but Mr. Cromitie’s characteristics were not. His incompetence and ambivalence could be found among other aspiring terrorists whose grandiose plans were nurtured by law enforcement. They included men who wanted to attack fuel lines at Kennedy International Airport; destroy the Sears Tower (now Willis Tower) in Chicago; carry out a suicide bombing near Tampa Bay, Fla., and bomb subways in New York and Washington. Of the 22 most frightening plans for attacks since 9/11 on American soil, 14 were developed in sting operations.
