National Weather Service warnings and advisories.
National Weather Service
The band of snow will start a southward drift between 4 and 5 p.m. and should make it into the Syracuse area sometime between 10:30 p.m. and midnight.Typically, when a band of snow shifts south like this, the lake effect weakens as it pushes south. However, tonight, the computer models are suggesting that Georgian Bay, just north of Lake Huron will help to enhance the Lake Ontario snow band as it makes its southward migration. If so, 2 to 6 inches is a good possibility throughout Oswego and portions of Onondaga and Madison Counties.

Lake Erie Snow

Lake Erie snows should lay down a few inches across the Finger Lakes and into Central New York again today.

The Weekend

Saturday and Saturday night an area of low pressure is forecast to develop over Tennessee and track up the Ohio Valley. It still looks like that will provide us with several inches of widespread snow Saturday night and early Sunday.
