California Democratic Senator Barbara Boxer has a war chest of $4.1 million for her re-election contest next year.

Boxer's campaign announced the formidable figure on Friday. It represents her cash on-hand as of the end of 2008.

Former Hewlett Packard Chief Executive Carly Fiorina is viewed as a potential candidate against Boxer.
