BREAKING: NRA Issues Massive Warning About What Obama is About to Do

The National Rifle Association expressed its concern that President Barack Obama could use the excuse of a U.N. Arms Treaty going into effect later this year to impinge upon Americans’ Second Amendment rights.
The Senate is highly unlikely to ratify the treaty, even before Republicans take over in January, particularly given the extremely high victory rate of pro-Second Amendment candidates in the 2014 midterm elections and the significant losses suffered by gun control candidates supported by the likes of former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

But Senate ratification is not what concerns the NRA, according to spokeswoman Catherine Mortensen.
“We are worried about an end-run around Congress,” she told The Blaze, according to a report from The Washington Times. “Barack Obama or a future anti-gun president could use ATT and international norms compliance to rationalize enacting gun control politics through executive actions, especially in the import and export realms.”
The treaty, set to take effect Dec. 24, requires signatories to regulate the import and export of “combat vehicles, aircraft and small arms,” according to The Times — a regulation that any nation led by sensible people doesn’t need the United Nations to tell it to do.

More worrisome is the section of the treaty that mandates member nations “establish and maintain a national control system, including a national control list, in order to implement the provisions.”
Calling the treaty a “very real threat” to the Second Amendment rights of all Americans, Mortensen described it as an “attempt by other countries, including some despotic regimes, to try and infringe on our constitutional rights.”

The Founders enshrined the separation of powers in the U.S. Constitution to prevent just something like this from happening. President Barack Obama should not — and does not — have the authority to bind the nation to any international treaty without ratification from Congress.
The problem is that this president has already demonstrated multiple times that he cares not one whit about the limits placed upon his office by the Constitution.
