CHULA VISTA — Chula Vista police raided an unlicensed marijuana dispensary Tuesday and left with four guns, about $35,000 in cash and roughly $15 million worth of products.

Officers served a search warrant at the shop on Third Avenue near Oxford Street — not far from Lauderbach Park — about 2 p.m. The raid did not result in any arrests, police Lt. Dan Peak said.

The enforcement comes at a time when Chula Vista has stepped up efforts to close dispensaries that pop up across the city, sometimes after they’ve been raided.

Dispensaries are allowed to operate with a cannabis business permits, but the city has not issued any since elected leaders approved regulations in 2018.
