Maybe it is because then every single illegal would end up fighting it in court. If they cut it for everyone, then they cant use the race card. My guess is that they will open some alternate programs for the poor, but the qualifications will be different or much stricter. Otherwise it would take decades to get all the illegals off wefare, by the time they all go to court. This way it is immediate.

One of the last movies I saw with the governator and Jamie Lee Curtis, he proved he was capable of saving the world. Just hope he is capable of saving Calif.
There is a lot of garbage in any sort of public help. Welfare mothers (in Fairfax Co., VA, 1970, when I did a college paper) got all kinds of perks if they were below the poverty level--free child care and public assistance, etc.--until they earned a few dollars above the poverty level and lost all the perks. While the perks were there to help single mothers strive from a better life, once they got a better life, they would have to give up the job to take care of the kids and sink back into poverty, just to be able to get food for the kids. It didn't make any sense then and this crap doesn't make sense now. Of course, then there were few if any illegals in the system.

No state can do that right now because the Federal Government mandates a free education for any kid who lives in the school district. The federal government needs to change their rules for the states.

Hope this will wake up more bleeding hearts in the US.

Only problem I see is the likelihood that the welfare recipients will pack up and move to other states where they can still get welfare. That's not a problem for CA., but it might be for the other states. They can speed things up by giving a free bus ticket out of state to every welfare recipient with their last welfare check. Next they could give a free bus ticket to all of the drug addicts and alcoholics who are on S.S.I. and get rid of them too. I.C.E. can supply the free bus rides for all of the illegal aliens. Not going to be many people left in California.

Eliminate any benefits and payouts to illegal aliens and they will go home. They might try to move to another state, so lets make sure that all states follow suit. No more freebies, no more schooling for children of illegal aliens, and no more birthing care, and automatic citizenship for illegal aliens "anchor babies"! Make E-Verify permanent, finish the fence, and put military on the border. Deport every single illegal alien found by police, ICE, and reported by citizens.

I totally agree! Other states can fight them coming over to their states by using the example of what happened to California with all the massive illegals collecting welfare. It would be easy to stop them before they even get there!
